These young super talents no undoubtedly studied this recording to be able to play it the way they are playing it and believe me they are playing superbly! A great recreation of the Basie classic with the original solos! Modern solos just don't fit with the big band era arrangements, I applaud your great efforts! I have been in the music business 50 years as a musician/band leader and educator you guys have the correct concept! keep this great music alive and keep it authentic as you are doing! congratulations!

This is almost a verbatim transcription of Basie's 1938 Decca recording. Very impressive and probably the first time a live performance of that classic record has been seen or heard. The old gent in the window at the rear knows it.
