That moment when KZbin suggests this video 2 days after you've dislocated your kneecap... So yeah, I leaned to the right, however, the left kneecap popped out... I guess I dragged my left foot and maybe twisted the leg as well. Worst pain I've ever experienced. Hopefully I haven't ruptured any ligaments.

This is actually really helpful. In our most recent match, I messed up when I dived and hurt my left arm pretty bad. When I dove for the ball, my left arm slammed to the ground as I landed on top of it. This happened because my knee was not in the right position which made me kind of fall in a weird way which made me land on my arm. Sigh... I wish I watched this before I got injured... our coach didn't really teach us how to dive properly yet...

Thank you so much for these videos! I've been playing volleyball for 15 years but never actually trained it and your tips really mean a lot. Some of the topics that I'm interested in are drills to improve passing (or other techniques) that you could do in a low ceiling apartment and also I'd like to know when and where to look for blockers and defenders when going for a spike. Thanks again and best of luck with your channel and training career!
@JumpVolleyball9 жыл бұрын
+Shporet Message received. I will think of something for you and my list of to-do videos just got longer, thanks for your input. I will give you one trick right away, when considering the blockers and the defenders, try collecting as much information as you can before the game and before each play. You can identify tendencies in your opponent's play while watching them and during the game, you can remember where they were blocking you or where they were positioned in defence on your different hits. Start with that and play with it so mix up your shots and see how they react. The more you do that, the more you will understand the different types of blockers/defenders there are and what you can do to increase your chances of success. Good luck with your volleyball and above all, just enjoy it!!

How different is it from the boys' side ? :)
@JumpVolleyball9 жыл бұрын
+Eduardo Martinez Thanks for you message Eduardo. It is essentially the same technique for the roll on the boys side. The thing with the boys though is that they will more often use the dive to go get balls that are low and in front of them. I made a video on diving last year, you can find it on this channel. Try this technique and make it your own. Daphnée gave you the basic steps but now it is your job to practice it and find the way to do it that works for you. We all have our small individual variations of the roll. So go out there, practice and have fun. You will see, you will be defending balls you never thought you could get.
