June Blues fishing on Oak Island

Talk about the blues. We've had a streak of bad luck. Everything from the boat breaking down to the weather. Especially the weather. It's been cold, cloudy and raining. All of Memorial Day Weekend was a wash. It's enough to make you sing the blues.

You could see blues jumping in the waves this morning in Surf City, but it was impossible to fish because of the seaweed.

Been tough this week did get som3 nice mullet at hightide this morning at 40th Street gonna try it out this evening on the rising tide

We just finished our week there, half rained out but better than working any day, I didn't get anything notable but a ribbon fish, seen a few catch trout off the pier.

I’ve only caught one ribbon fish. That’s pretty cool. I had tours all week and had to cut half of them short because of the storms. I hate it when the group is planning for a three hour fishing trip and I have to tell them to bring in their lines. But Better safe then sorry

The surf has been pretty slow this week, gonna see if ocean crest pier does any good on the rising tide this evening. As always great video Sands!

Yes, they just started it. I believe it runs April thru September, 9am till 5pm, $5 an hour, $20 a day.
