Making a trip to my grandma's in North Carolina and wondering what's a good spot at Island beach for surf fishing I usually fish on the west coast from California

A lot of people like the west end of the island, called the Point. It’s the inlet between Holden and oak island beach. I like any place I can find structure, holes, troughs, etc. walk the beach at low tide, fish those spots at high.

No, not currently. The town has considered it but as of now it’s free
