Been fishing June Lake for over 40 years. It helps to get on a boat and troll low and slow the edges of the lake. Caught many 4+ pound trout. My daughter caught a 7 3/4 pounder a few years ago.

I thought you couldn't fish the Lakes in winter? Am I missing something?

That's correct, the cut off date varies, but it's mid November, plus they have other rules in certain parts of the streams like catch and release and barbless hooks (but you'll need to find out exact details if you head out there). Please disregard the time frames of our video releases, we have videos scheduled every Saturday till next October 2025 with the fishing videos we have made through the years.
