I really enjoy the fact that you read and talk about backlist books. For me, it’s something that sets you apart from a lot of the other channels I watch, and I enjoy hearing about different books and not always the newest thing that everyone else is talking about.

I absolutely love your channel and I get excited everytime I see a new video! I love calm and thoughtful vibes that your videos give me. Thank you a lot for all the work you put into this channel ❤As someone who returned back to reading only 4 years ago I understand the desire to read great books that were published 10+ years ago. And I enjoy that you talk about backlist books, it's such a breath of fresh air. Regarding the high ratings you give to the books, I've never even noticed that. I usually focus on what people have to say about books rather than a rating. It's great when you can predict which books are for you, I'm still working on figuring out my taste in books 😊

I really love your channel, and I'm always excited to see a new video! 😊📚You clearly put a lot of work into the channel and it shows! Also, you provide these videos for free, so I can't believe that some people feel entitled to criticize. I really appreciate that you reply to all comments, so definitely take all the time you need! You should read the books you want to read, and rate them whatever feels right to you. I'm glad you're enjoying the books you're reading, and I hope the rest of your reading month will be equally great! ❤📚

I'm not very skilled with filming and editing, so it does take quite a bit to get the footage to look okayish. 😅 You know, people like to make their displeasure known and to be honest, I don't mind. It didn't upset me, I am quite happy with my own efforts, and while I don't like disappointing people, I am aware that it will happen. I'm just happy people are watching. To be honest, when I started the channel, I didn't expect anyone would. I'm still surprised every day 😊✨

Thank you for this video! I love your channel just the way it is, and the views.... ❤ But for the critisism you got, I myself tend to gravitate towards booktubers that read mostly backlist books. There's already a plethora of booktubers that read and clearly advertize frontlist books but being relevant also means that one ends up reading a lot of average books too. I appreciate quality over quantity and if that means reading old books then that's just fine by me! And for the comments, I have always considered it giving my support as feedback to the tuber, I don't expect anyone to answer to it

You know, I couldn't agree more - I love watching people who read lots of brand new books, because I'm curious what's out there and that's usually how I find out. But reading mostly those books seems a bit like a chore. And I don't want to turn this into a race to the finish line, to see if I can read, review and post a video on time to be relevant. I want to enjoy this and competition is the one sure way to ruin a hobby (with some exceptions). Thank you for the kind words and for watching my nonsense! ❤️ Btw, are you by any chance Finnish? I saw you used a Finnish word in your channel description and Finonna kind of sounds like a word-play. (Sorry if this is too out there, my brain works in weird ways 😂)

It is always so delightful to see booktubers reading Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn. For so long, I felt alone in my love of this series. I'm so happy to see other readers discovering this gem of a series. I do agree that these books can be slow at times, especially the beginning of the Dragonbone Chair. "Dense" is also an excellent description. I personally don't mind it at all, but I do agree that not everybody will like that. My thoughts regarding the criticism you received: Read whatever the heck you want. I am reading a ton of backlist books because my life was so busy with my medical training that I missed out on YEARS of the "hottest, newest" books. Even now, it is difficult to find time to read due to my career and my very rambunctious 2 year old. Make whatever videos you want to make. Whatever you feel like making and sharing will be appreciated. Thank you for sharing and happy reading! 📚

People have too much free time, and maybe too much lonely time. I can understand that sometimes someone might just want to have a talk and not getting an answer, when you're already down can lead to disappointment, which manifests as frustration. I have empathy for that, I obviously think this sort of reaction is a bit extreme, but I can understand. Either way, I wasn't upset with him, just felt the need to address it, so nobody misunderstands me. :)
