I actually really like Egg Rem’s concept and think it’s very pretty…BUT I wish it was made to look a little more like soul gems and used it for a Madoka series! How cute would that be? Why waste it on Rem! She has enough!!!

12:42 I completely understand the concern with Myethos faces. The first figure I ordered from them was iron maiden Judith and the face looked almost bleached out. I own two other Myethos figures but if does sometimes feel like a hit or miss when Myethos does faces, especially more expressive faces. It’s one of the reasons why I am not confident in the Kakegurui Mary figure by them.

I feel like they always try to go a step above with the faces and break off from the traditional anime style, but then they just flop on the execution and all the delicacy and gentleness just disappears. They even had to rework that one figure due to the face, not a good track record.

For me this new GSC Miku is THE Miku figure. At first I complained about it on mfc and it does have some things to complain about: like the price, release date in 2024(!!) and the huge base that could definitely be smaller. But all of this is overshadowed by the actual figure being in my opinion the best Miku figure to date. I love the textures on her dress and corset, the paint that goes from matt to shiny to glitter, the color scheme and I'm in love with her gentle face. I think the style and combination of colors in this figure is very very good. Her classy, not over the top design. The more I look at it the more things I find to love about it.

I could forgive the figure not being busty enough , if the coat was on her properly. Carrying a rocket-launcher on the shoulder while the coat is only lazily thrown on just seems silly. Although if she was wearing the coat properly then the chest area would be even more concealed; I think they did it this way very much so on purpose

I preordered that Alter Rei like 10 min after it was available... so good... But don't underestimate those Hobbymax Eva figs... cleanly and beautifully executed, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's art perfectly rendered in 3D... quickly became favorites in my collection...

Ive ordered from amiami for 2 years now and live in the UK :) I tend to order high value figures from amiami and cheaper figures (e.g. nendoroids/ popup parades) from Gamersheek as with shipping combined they are pretty similar priced. I go ems shipping when available, dhl otherwise- I have not tried surface parcel before as I cant deal with waiting 😅 Not had a problem with packaging yet, though have been delayed in getting the invoice from amiami in the release month. Hope this helps ^_^

Amiami doesn't take payment until your order is ready to ship (probably a year from now since it'll probably get delayed). I think they also usually give you a choice to select/change shipping method right before you pay once they know the weight and size of the box. EMS is already back for the UK now which is typically the cheapest of the fastest options. You'll probably also have some cheaper slower options like Airmal, SAL, or Surface by the time the figure is out if they're not already available.

You comparing that awful Miku figure to Handshakers is pretty spot on. All I can think of when I see that figure is that the circular clear thing looks like the round carousel used in a slide projector. I really dislike these figures that have so much stuff around them that you can't really see the figure and in this case she looks like she's been encased in a ring toss. Good thing I'm not a Miku collector. Also, totally agree about the cat girl with the big fish plush- way better than the first one though I appreciate the risk they took with the first.

The thing is "virtual idol" miku is based off the album Art for one of the more famous vocaloid producers(mitchie m).😭 So as much as I would love for them to make changes..they most definitely won't/can't. Maybe If they just had a version that was just miku and not the extra stuff around her.🤔 This is also the second one they've done. "Greatest idol" miku is the very same story and that figure is great. But I was kinda hoping this would be my chance to get a figure that represent this producer instead searching for "greatest idol" miku since it's from 2015 and may be harder to find. 💀Turns out I will have to.

I get the Miku criticism on too much going on, but I think her outfit on it's own is gorgeous. They're trying to be accurate to the album cover art it is based on, but I wish they had simply ignored the big clear ring. It looks like a big piece of factory plastic that they forgot to paint.

Yeah I feel Mikus leg tattoo is a bit backy too. They could've incorporated her usual red 01 tattoo into the roses or something to make it make more sense overall. Especially since it isn't visible on her arm. Shes supposed to have the regal look too, and honestly i associate tattoos with rebellious behaviour and such, not like a regal woman leaning on an elegant chair. The red and turquoise contrast is breathtaking though, I never thought that combo could look so good before, i hope they make more miku figures with that palette in the future. Also! I didn't mean to come off as rude in my last comment, I honestly just found it getting auto deleted was a bit funny. It seems to me that comments get deleted automatically when too many spaces between sections are used upon experimenting. Love the video as always! Ps. There is a scandal happening about the quality of the Ichihara Yuko figure by emontoys that they displayed at this wonderfestival. Because I preordered her, I have a headache and stomach pain now because of the disappointment and nervousness. I even contacted emontoys (waiting for their answer... if they choose to give me one).
