I didn't know the mic mapped to an analog axis, I thought it was just converted to digital hi/lo with a hardware threshold. You just need super accurate control over your own voice and then you can yell at a certain volume to select a character!

There is a way to map the whole keyboard onto one key, if the input method also takes time into consideration. In this case you type using Morse code. All letters and numbers, as well as the space bar and common punctuations already have standard codings, also the backspace key. Then you just need to plan out other punctuation marks and modifier keys. Such a Morse input is actually very valuable as an assistive technology for severely disabled people.
