In Left to Right he struggled (well struggled according to JK... everyone else thought it was already perfect... ) with the 'tangled up in your bed' line.. so as always, he redid it multiple times until it was his version of perfect....His vocal control since being really young is so impressive... some people are just born with natural talent and he's one of them.... Don’t forget to keep streaming Seven as well bc he’s currently holding on to his bb records and Spotify global… even with all the other western artist fandoms and other BTS solo members streaming his main competitor to try and bring jungkook down. Let’s stream hard for tae and jk to help tae make and break records and help jungkook hold on to his records for another week… give him 2 solid months…. And see what we can make happen for tae tae!!! Feel like his title track may be upbeat and he will dance….. maybe a more retro vibe like dynamite… he seemed to like that era and those fashion choices…. I got in an argument with someone on Reddit who made a “vocal assessment” on jungkook, and yes I know it’s dumb to argue over someone else’s opinion.. but labeling it a “vocal assessment” as if they had any credentials that make their “opinion” valid when in reality they have no vocal background at all lol anyway… the assessment that jungkooks stability and neutral tone make him the best choice for the main vocalist…. Which is bizarre bc stability is important def but neutral tone? Possibly.. except jk rarely sings in his natural tone or register… he’s always singing above it so… anyway I could e lived with that.. but then I got to the point where she said “jungkook doesn’t show any emotion through his voice at all” and that”his voice is massively underdeveloped” and my personal favorite was them saying “he never does adlibs live, they’re not popular in K-pop music so maybe that’s why… but it would be nice if he adlibbed live at least some of the time.” Oh and also that he has no developed mid range and not super strong at high notes and that he only sings in a breathy tone bc he’s not strong enough in those areas… “and some ppl may like that, but not my favorite.” I mean the fact that everything she said is basically the opposite of the truth has be baffled. I’m half convinced she thinks he’s someone else lmao or something bc … no emotion? Can’t sing in his mid range or high with power? DOESNT EVER ADLIB LIVE?!?!?? These are some of the biggest lies I’ve heard lately lol but it also brought me to an issue I have a lot with BTS music and JK bc he’s not typically a spotlight stealing type of guy…. He hangs out in the background cheering everyone on the way they do with him… but listening to him sing BTS music… you’re only hearing about 60% of what he can do… you have to hear him live, and raw on vlives and welives…. Hear him sing other people’s songs to really begin to understand the depth of his voice and what he can really do …. But holy hell…. I couldn’t help but disagree af to what she said lol politely for the most part tho lol Edit: oops can’t forget that she also said on her ahem “vocal assessment” that jungkook is very poor at doing runs… and that he can’t properly do runs hitting right notes or successfully pulling them off. Even though jungkook has been known for his love for runs and trills bc of his love of r and b and pop r and b and they’re often used in those songs. In fact he probably does lol 80% of the runs in BTS… bc it’s not really on the others styles… Jin bc his main style is he sings in a belt most of the time, v tends to sing low notes that often are slower parts bc he sings a lot of bridges… same with Jin…. Jimin does some in the background vocals… he will pull them out when he’s feeling throng vocally for a highlight part in a song or something… but they’ve been jungkooks strength since debut. Absolutely insane. The other boys vocal styles are just different… not saying they can’t do them… they just don’t typically do as many as he does.
