Keep making videos of you riding. I don't think it matters what you ride. Viewers will like it. The jungle looks beautiful. 👍

Using your biking skills to deliver supplies to those folks is a wonderful thing to do. I'll bet you remember that ride more fondly than any day spent puttering around the trails on a sunny afternoon.

Would love to do one of your tours in the near future. I notice the 2023 KLX230 has a significantly lower seer height which at 5 foot 6 interests me greatly. All the best - Alex, Bundaberg Qld

Hi Alex, would love to see you over here! The 2022 CRF300Ls which we use for our tours also have really low seat height - much lower than my KLX. Our customers love that they can always get their feet down 👍

Great content, Thank You. I´m planning on moving to Northern Thailand in a few years and I´ll pick up a dualsport when I do. I would love a in depth comparison between CRF 300L and KLX 230. Your thoughts between aircooled/watercooled, reliability, the different models with lower seathight vs original. I´ve ridden CRF 250L and KLX150 in Pai (TIP off Road) and for gravelroads and driving around exploring I found the KLX150 engaging bit the CRF250L a little bulky. Surprising for me being 180cm 90kg. I´ve seen the KLX230 in Chiang Dao and it looked great but I never ridden one. Kob kun krapp.

The KLX230 is a much better dirt bike. Significantly lighter, more nimble (shorter wheel base), weight down low, more stable front end. But limited in power for road use. So, if you want a dirt bike get a klx, if you want a dual sport get a crf300l. That's the short summary. :) See you in Thailand sometime.

The only good thing about mud is falling more softly on your hips ;-) Bike fitness is really essential, Grace. Especially the older you get. A rest day is a good idea. During our week in the Alps on Beta Alp 200 similar to your KLX 230 our oldest (nearly 80 years old, ex-Trial-championship riders) usually take a day off enjoying a wellness spa. They are still fit and their technical skill is amazing. Lots to learn for me. Next time in July, near lake Iseo in Northern Italy. Cheers from Nürnberg/Germany, Günter PS: How was your stay in Oz?

Do you know if the new 2023 KLX230SE has the same dodgy Idle and clutch burning problems?

I haven't heard that there's been any change to the variable idle situation, but that's an easy fix. As for the clutch, i've never had any problems again since i changed the clutch springs and put a longer actuator lever on it

I had the 300 l and it's no lower than the 2:30 I also have the KLX 230 dual sport I sold the Honda I didn't like it but I like the KLX 230 except the idle does that idle screw you told us about a few months ago really work good if so I might order one keep up the good work

The 300 is much lower than the 230 in standard configuration, i have them side by side.
