So Amazon has many warehouses around the world, depending on which marketplace you plan to sell in. Once you complete your shipping plan- Amazon will provide you with an address to one of their warehouses and from there, you will give that address or addresses to your supplier. Amazon will determine which warehouse you have to use and tell you where to ship your products. You are able to create different storefronts using the same Seller account. This is preferable to opening a brand new account. If you need a second account we recommend speaking to Seller support first - they can make sure a second account is set up in the right way!

Since Amazon considers its fulfillment service to have perfect metrics across variables, using Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) is the easiest way to increase your chances of winning the Buy Box. That’s not to say that FBM sellers can never beat FBA sellers; it’s just harder, requiring extremely high scores across all variables and a very low price.

It is recommended to buy shipping from Amazon if you are doing FBM. Although, you can still choose another carrier or third-party logistics. In this case, you won't use the "Buy Shipping" option. Can you please confirm which browser you are using? Per Amazon, the following browsers are supported and are required to print shipping labels successfully through Buy Shipping: Chrome (latest version) Firefox (ESR 38 and above) Internet Explorer 11, latest version Safari (latest, versions 5.1, 6, and 7 as of May 2014) I recommend contacting Seller Central support if you are eligible and can't use the Buy Shipping option.

Hiya! Since FBM means you are fulfilling the product, technically, you don't need the GTIN, ASIN or FNSKU printed or labeled, as long as you can manage and ship the inventory. Those are identifiers and scannable numbers/codes for Amazon to manage and fulfill items.

Hi, when I paste a UPC into Catalog>Add Product and choose Sell This Product, it automatically puts it onto an existing listing that seems to have a brand name. I am a bit surprised Amazon allows me to do that. Aren't Brands supposed to be protected or is it because it is a non-registered brand ? Thank you. When that barcode is scanned or entered into a search engine such as Amazon, the product connected to that code will appear in the store’s system or the Amazon search results. Amazon wants to ensure that the brand name used to create the new listing matches the brand name linked to the UPC in the GS1 database. GS1 is the global standard for product barcodes and is the company Amazon verifies your UPC with. If the UPC does not match the information provided by GS1, Amazon will consider your UPC to be invalid and won’t let you list your product. When purchasing a UPC, always buy them through GS1. GS1 is a non-profit global organization that maintains and manages authentic product barcodes for over two million companies in 115 countries. Amazon requires all UPCs to be obtained from GS1 to ensure accuracy and legitimacy. GS1 website - www.gs1us.org/ If, for whatever reason, your product does not have a UPC, you may apply for what’s called a GTIN Exemption. If approved, Amazon will allow you to list your product on Amazon without needing a UPC or other product identifier. Quick question - are you creating a new listing or adding an offer to an existing listing? If that UPC already exists on Amazon, you will be directed to the existing listing. Amazon does allow adding offers to an existing listing. However, it will require approval if gated.

Seller needs to either indicate a shipping cost or incorporate the cost of shipping if the product is fbm. If FBA, Amazon still won't pay for the cost of shipping to Amazon. But the cost of shipping to the customer is included on the FBA fees.

So if I am selling high cost larger tools, what options are available to me as a seller to make sure I dont have to take back a used tool that could possibly be damaged after the buyer has used it? I only plan to sell less than 50 items a month at first. so a return of just 3 items or less would negate a large portion of my margin. Also if just one tool is damaged and I am forced to take it back that would negate the whole month. Am I overthinking or in your experience does Amazon actually help the seller in these ragards?

QUESTION… before you can create a listing, you need to first get product. Are you able to advise specifically the steps FBM sellers would take to get product? No one seems to go over this specifically. I am very new to this

It depends on your business model, but it is generally the same as when you are selling FBA. The difference happens after the product is shipped out by the manufacturer/supplier. If it's going to be FBA, it will be stored, fulfilled, and will be shipped out by Amazon to your buyers, while with FBM, you will be the one responsible for those.

If you are selling via FBM, then you, as a seller, will need to pay for the cost of the shipping. However, if you are selling via FBA, then the cost of shipping will be included in the FBA fees.

You may need to check if your listing has a ByBox and if you own it! When products show as unavailable outside the US, you may not have shipping to other countries!
