My first car was a 1971 Opel Kadet wagon it was blue. It was only 4 yrs old and it was starting to get rusty, living in Chicago with roads always salted was to blame. It was one of my favorite cars, so much fun to drive, always wanted a GT, so happy to see yours restored! LG :-D

Nice work! My girlfriend had a light metallic blue USA spec GT back in the early 80s and I just so happened to have a '74 Manta. Both of them have great, timeless designs. Here in the states, Opels are pretty damn rare.

When I was a young man I wanted one but could not find any for sale in 70's England, I had a Kadett B Rallye, then a Kadett C coupe that I modified to 1.9 for road rallying, Manta B SR Berlinetta 2.0, that was the end of my Opel's, the Manta was replaced with a Vauxhall Chevette HSR.

(PS; ich möchte das gleiche Auspuffgeräusch wie dein GT 1900 haben) wie stellt man bitte den Vergaser ein? da stimme ich zu ich drehe und drehe die leerlaufschraube (die mit einer feder)) aber........ es verändert den sound nicht danke .Clemence

'A poor Man's Corvette'.. - evtl. mal Ventile nachstellen, alte Opel klingen immer so nach Nähmaschine 😉

Does the DVD show more about the repair process or is it just what we see on the KZbin sight? You did a great job! Very beautiful. I bet it was very expensive, but I did see you re-staining some of the interior which seems to be a great idea and would save a lot of money as long as the piece was not torn. Also is it available in English translation? Again GREAT JOB! You are very talented. Thanks, Gabe

+nina krettek Na, jo, man muß halt soviel wie möglich selber machen oder / und gute Freunde haben, sonst wird's kaum bezahlbar. (ca. 2000.- an Teilen, 5000.- für Karosserierep. und Lack) + 300 eigene Arbeitsstunden.

Hallo, Sehr schone GT. Ich bin momentan mit meine GT beschaeftigd zu restaurieren. USE 1970 Monza Blau. Mochte gern eine andere farbe nehmen und diese farbe gefallt mich sehr. Koenen wir kontakt nehmen ? M.fr.gr. Jeroen Weijtens Belgien.
