Such a great looking and clean way to finish off a mosaic crochet piece without spending tons of time weaving in all of the ends-I wish I’d found this method before weaving in all the ends on the gigantic blanket I’ve been working on! 😫 I’m definitely going to be using this method to finish off mosaic crochet projects in the future; thanks for sharing this in such a clear and concise manner!

Just watched a dozen tutorials on this border and yours BY FAR has the clearest instructions. Thank You!

I only recently heard about an envelope border and had no idea what it looked like. This is very encouraging, especially since I just found a mosaic moss stitch that I really want to do that changes colors each row. I totally have a WIP in block stitch that has a different color for each role and this envelope border is absolutely perfect for it. I will no longer stay away from projects that change colors every row.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! You have no idea how much this video saved me. I have been working on a massive 6ftx6ft blanket for my husband for over 2 years. It's a custom tapestry crochet pattern I designed myself. I cut all my ends too short to weave in and I couldn't crochet over them. I broke down thinking I ruined 2 years of work. This video SAVED me!!! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH 😭😭😭💖💖💖

I’m new to overlay crochet. However, I see many other uses for the envelope boarder.

Where is your group?

@mirandaROMYN I did a Google search for the name of your crochet group. I saw that it was on Facebook and it appeared as if it was on Instagram based on what Google said but I later found out it wasn’t on Instagram but only mentioned on someone else’s Instagram account. Anyway, I asked the admin a question that only needed a simple yes or no answer because I couldn’t find the answer on the group’s About page and she accuses me of being a scammer. She was very unnecessarily rude.

So I'm working on my first envelope border and I think I cut my fringe too short! Some of them are about to unknot and I didn't tie them together! Is there some way to run crochet thread down each side to prevent it unraveling? I'm not sure which parts of the last stitch on each row to run the thread through! HELP!!! 😢

I would suggest you unravel your border and go back and tie the ends sincerely together and then redo your border. Sometimes there is no easy fix when we make mistakes.

That's pretty border but wow, it takes less time to weave in the ends and doesn't leave that ugly join line on the front of the work.

did you know it’s free to not be rude in someone’s comment section when they are offering a solution for people who don’t want to weave in their ends. you think it’s ugly? move on, clearly people like it or it wouldn’t be a popular alternative. if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all
