Oh! This is absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE it. I WANT it. Thanks for showing. By the way, Laura Ashley died a tragic death quite some years ago now, when she fell down her stairs in the dark one night and fractured her skull, suffering, I think, a cerebral haemorrhage. Her name, however, and her company, lives on, having been continued by her family. She really was a very talented designer, looking back to the beauty and aesthetics of the past in an age of ugly, functional, modernity.

Hi Cindy, thanks a lot. It is really not difficult to make the papers so I did not think a tutorial was appreciated. But I can tell you the process: first prepare coffee dyed paper, the darker the color the better … my preference. Then, after drying, sprinkle powder color particles on the paper, they are available from many different makers, I take the ones with shimmer. Then you spray water on the paper and move the paper to let the colors distribute and melt into each other. Together with the coffee it gives a nice effect. The drying process (I let it air dry) finally brings the pattern. Hope this was helpful. I also did the ecodying myself, in a very simple way: pick plants, put them on paper, pile the plant-paper combis in a plastic container,add boiling/hot water - whatever the container allows - let it soak for some time, pour out the water and let the paper pile dry, preferably in the sun. Doing it this way is easy but only makes 5-8 pages per run. Take care Martina

Hi, this is not an easy question as there is no „formula“ on how to calculate a possible price. As with many kind of art there are many factors which do impact the price you can achieve. usually I’d agree with the sentiments, enjoying a relatively short simple run through, though this time I’m appreciating the loving explanations of each piece. Part of it is because I’ve just began looking into junk journals, and another part not quite understanding the style. And in this video, I can get a sense of how much love went in to create a visually stimulating piece because its filled with beautiful details.
