Believe the audio-book I once read had Takei reading an adaptation of Final Frontier, the fifth film. He kinda had ta make McCoy's Southern accent thicker, which was weird to hear. Don't recall if he attempted Nichelle's singing voice. He did do an impeccable Sulu impression, though.

This is the best Star Trek channel on KZbin, on anywhere really. Just a thought for a video, the com-badges of Star fleet. Also, Starfleet on enlisted crew jobs , uniforms and rank insignias throughout the shows. I think they created a whole enlisted rank system in deep space nine and sort of ret conned it from there. Anyway, keep up the great work .

I've seen Relics so many times and the "Jenolan" is so familiar, yet I had no idea it was meant to be so big! I always saw it as a shuttle craft because that's exactly what it looks like. I'm also disappointed the Jenolan didn't have more rocks inside it.

this episode is one of my faves. i always thought about why Scotty didn't remember about Kirk, but after rewatching it, they said there was some degradation in the buffer pattern. sure it was small but that could have been why he didn't remember.

Before Scotty went off to his retirement home, he and Chekhov witnessed Kirk getting sucked into the ribbon on Enterprise-B. Which creates continuity issues because in Relics he says, "I knew Jim Kirk would try to find me" after Geordi recovers his transporter pattern.

Yes, I wish they had made the overall size of the Sydney-class smaller. When I first saw Relics, I thought the ship was maybe three times the size of a runabout, not a couple hundred metres long!

Supposedly this ship was the inspiration for the Aquarius escort that is docked in the rear of some Odyssey class starships from Star Trek online and now in the Prime timeline since the Odysseys are canon thanks to Picard S3. If so then it would make sense if it was smaller. Though in TNG it makes more sense for the Jenolan to be Reliant sized when it used its shields to hold open the doors enough for the Enterprise D to escape the sphere.

As an in universe explanation of Scotty thinking Kirk got the 1701-A out of mothballs to rescue him even though he'd been there when Kirk "died" is simply stress and confusion brought on by the trauma of the Jenolin crashing, being the sole survivor, as at the point Riker told Scotty he was from the Enterprise Scotty had already tried to get Franklin out and found his pattern too degraded, plus 70someodd years in a transporters diagnostic cycle, his brain was probably addled a bit, and when he heard Enterprise that was his minds first thought.

Thanks. It really helps the channel. The algorithm controls everything. My Runabouts video last year didn't get any traction and it only appeared in 13% of my subscribers' recommended videos. For some reason, KZbin is recommending this Jenolan video out at full blast. I really don't understand or have any control over it.
