My momma ground her's on an old fashioned metal grinder that clamped on to the table. After all the ingredients were ground they would run a slice of white bread through the grinder to clean it out. It got included in the mix, nothing went to waste, lol. I still have the old family grinder and I am 74 now. Good memories!

Im in Tn and I make this with hot dogs, my homemade sweet pickles, boiled eggs and shredded velveeta cheese, mustard and catsup. I dont grind the ingredients. I use a chopper like I would use to chop cabbage for cole slaw. I leave it chunky. Fill a hot dog bun, wrap it in foil (place on a cookie sheet ) and cook in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes until the cheese melts.

I have the grinder now. It was her moms too. I'm not really sure how old it is. Before I use it, as she taught me, run a piece of white bread through it first to clean any rust off of it!!!
