Junkyard LT1 almost goes 7’s! | Stick shift MONSTER!

We’ve seen the Tick Performance Camaro before and once again it surprised the hell out of us! The junkyard motor is leaking oil from everywhere and they’re pushing it way harder than they ever intended. Soon they will be putting an LT1 in the car that actually has some internal goodies to really do something crazy! We love this car, do you?

The old 96 only LT4 actually came with aluminum Crane roller rockers from the factory. they were advertised at 330 hp but it is commonly believed to be more like 350. They had a 6300 rpm power peak I believe, and could run with '97 C5 LS1s.

The lt1 on a crank dyno makes 361 hp and 391 ft torque. They 10:4:1 conpression. The lt4 cars made a little more because of the intake etc. people just dont realize its the highest hp sbc production engine made.

I always love seeing an old car bust a new ones ass🙂👍 One of my very long time buddies has a '67 Camaro small tire car, and he has never had the cash at his disposal like a lot of racers and would use old hand me down parts that some of our buddies gave him or sold him very cheap. I know there had to be times that those guys ha to have wished they hadn't given them to him when he's outrun them with their old parts and they had top of the line new parts. And ol "kamikaze" on "Street Outlaws" is another good example of this too. And "Flip" before him. Good luck to everyone out there doing this. It shows his mechanical abilities as well as driving and reaction times too🤗🏆🏆

I had one in the 80's from the 70's with the stock solid lift mechanical camshaft(70 RS Z 28) Along with quite a few LS 6-7's from the 70's. Chevrolet really should stop reusing the same RPO numbers...

For anyone having problems with the optispark on a Lt1, this may sound weird but change your coolant, use 50-75 % Dex cool. I Know Dex cool is junk but if you dont have enough in the cooling system it creates some sort of weird electrolysis in the water pump that screws with the optispark.

Would love to know the heads/cam setup and displacement on that LT1. In case yall don't know it's hard to get ported cncd heads on LT motors that even flow what a stock LS casting does. Low 8s on 6 speed trans is quite and LT accomplishment

2JZ for the wn! A 2JZ in a Puerto Rican (El Humilde) '85 Corolla (3/4 chassis car) runs 5.91 @ 242 mph, not bad for a 3 +/- liter inline 6-cylinder engine.
