Assuming the mouse condo in the trunk was there for a majority of the time, you two giants ripped open the sky and tore the roof off in an apocalyptic event not seen in thousands of mouse years, only to laugh at THEM being the horror and close the sky again. Truly poetic.

That Super C reminds me of when I got to help a buddy get his grandpa's 1947 Ford 8N tractor running again for said grandpa's 100th birthday. The look on his face when it came rolling up the driveway was incredible, and I was the one who actually drove it, because unlike my buddy, I actually know how to drive stick. Honestly, the hardest part of the whole revival was getting the old engine to turn over, she was locked up pretty tight, but we got there in the end, and when the old hunk of iron popped off and ran, we hugged each other tight, laugh-crying in celebration. Once we got her running, everything seemed to fly by, until the day finally came, when once the celebration was basically over, my buddy told everyone that he had 1 more surprise for them, because neither of us had told anyone, not even our closest friends. And not long after they all got out onto the front porch, I rolled up, and when he saw his old girl driving up, he hugged my buddy as tight as he could, and literally started crying tears of joy into their shoulder, and seeing that made all the pain and struggles worth it, I'm actually getting emotional all over again just typing this. Of course, we had to help grandpa up into the seat, but even after all those decades, he still knew how to drive his old girl just as well as, maybe even better than me, and seeing the joy on his face was incredibly contagious, and we were all smiling from ear to ear. That was an absolutely wonderful day, and I hope I never forget it

I'd say the 1970s but the result is the same. Cars from that decade have a carb, are old enough to be very cheap, were durable enough to still be with us, and every make had land yachts. In my opinion, it is the sweet spot for many reasons: few to no emissions controls, disc brakes, big engines, manual and automatic transmissions in almost everything, beefy rear diffs, air conditioning offered so retrofitting is easier, etc.

They used GM air conditioning on those Lincolns because it produced colder air than what Ford was using at the time... Fun fact.

Wrong, they had york compressors, not delco/remy, york is an independent, every car manufacturer used them, just like dana axles, spicer u joints, ect

@@dk832002 A lot of early 70s big Fords used the (GM) Harrison/Frigidaire POA refrigerant loop with the A6 compressor. It stings to say it, but it was a much better system than the Ford system. The air handler part of the system was better than what GM used, though.

What a wild ride the entire episode was from start to finish! I'd love to see you clean this up more, and have atleast 1 road trip before selling it off!

We still have a super c international in our family our is the tricycle front though. Only problem though is busting the ductile iron keepers for the rear wheels you cannot find them anymore. Plus side to ours is that it still has the cultivators, planter, 2 bottom breaking plow, and disc.

Dam can’t wait to see what’s up with the mustang! I love that body style. Can’t wait to see the body’s condition..every one I’ve seen that sat for years has rotted out floor boards and or rotted rear end frames and not worth restoring. Course I’m up in NE. My aunt had a 67 mustang (red with black top convertible ) and a 69 sting ray corvette convertible Blue with black cloth top and Crome with side running exhaust pipes. Crome bumpers etc Both sat in her garages for years and only ran few times a year to car shows but always kept clean.

I had a 1967 Mustang. It had been beat pretty hard before I got it and the 289 was dead so I put a good 302 in it and delivered pizza with it for 2 years. Absolutely loved that car even though it was a piece of junk by the time I sold it.😁

separate the 6 volt system at the starter by removing the hot wires from starter. use frame ground and the hot lug on starter with a jumper to solenoid to start it with 12 volts, remove 12 volt cable and connect 6 volt 'hot' cables removed previously back onto starter, it's now running & trying to charge the 6 volt battery.
