I picked up a 1960 Ford f100 out of Oklahoma this year. It was completely worked over by hillbillies for years. New wheels, tires, driveshaft, radiator, battery, waterpump, fuel pump, gas tank, and now a new transmission because the old C4 sat in water and only would do two gears. It is still in the garage. Hope to have some videos soon. I feel your pain guys. I really do, but there was no way I would let classic metal like this get crushed. Oh. Almost forgot to say. Thanks for your service. looks great, keep it going, you guys are doing very well. This is my era sort of I'm 69 years old but worked on the cars of the 50's & 60's extensively back in the day and they all were Ford, Pontiac & Chevy nothing else! Owned a 56 Ford crown vic a 58 T-Bird, 59 Galaxie 500 while in High School in NY. Went to a 62 Impala ragtop in 68, a 67 Mustang HP 289 fastback then a 68 T-Bird before buying a 69 GTO. That was the last of the 60's era cars in 71, I worked on every one of these cars changing everything from carburetors to starters to water pumps to modifying them with dual exhaust systems, Cherry Bombs and Thrush packs, Headman headers & Isky Cams, Craiger Mags and fuzzy dice. Miss those days when you used a feeler gauge & Dwell & tach meter, maybe if you had one to set up the timing & get it to run smooth. Good luck gentlemen you guys look young enough to be my grandsons!

If he didnt know what a casette player is hes younger then me and im not old by any means One thing id tell him though i can tell hes one of those kids who likes wearing flip flops and theres nothing wrong with that but id reccomend for safety reasons changing into some covered shoes when working on stuff in the shop hell you could even leave the shoes in there and change in and out of them. ive seen some nasty accidents involving not wearing shoes and dropping tools and car parts it doesnt take much to cut someones foot badly if its not covered.
