Welcome back Arcadians,
In this weeks video we look at the results from last months high score challenge, Ghosts n Goblins.
And our new addition to the museum Gottlieb's 1983 game Juno First.Which is also this months high score challenge with gameplay, hints and tips.

One of my favourite games is Juno First! It's right at home in the Archive, If I lived closer to the mill, I would've loved to have helped out I'd fit right in. I honestly didn't think it was possible to turn the Vectrex into an Arcade machine, which is why I love the homebrew scene so much as well. The community is creative. Making bespoke hardware, I thought possible, is bound to open the doors for more ways to play the Vectrex.

Thanks for the heads up on Juno First, I've been playing the B' jesus out of this on mame since you posted this video. My highest score so far is 360,000 which I'm more than happy with. I seem to have vague memories of this from the 80s but it could be the mind playing tricks on me, let's face it over 40 years later things become a bit hazy. Seeing it's the first day of June today there's only one thing left to say " May Juno First be with you".

Love this game. The difficulty level is just right and it doesn't feel unfair when you die. And back in the day you got a good length of game for your money.

It’s a really generous game with extra lives every 100k which is possible for anyone to achieve really.

Awesome on the Ghosts n Goblins, brings back memories as a kid I looped twice getting the final ending at Ghouls'n ghosts on my Sega Master System while my buddies where impressed and cheering me on.

Juno First was my big discovery at my visit to the Archive, played that the most I think, loved the sounds effects and the immersion at the cabinet. Visuals have a lovely colourful Atari look. Will have a bash but I know I'll get nowhere near the high score table 😂

Great stuff! This months game is one that I always gravitate to when I see it and I'm looking forward to improving my score on it. It gets some play on one of my jamma cabs but the beauty of these challenges is that it encourages me to spend some proper time on the game. Loving it!

It was fun playing Ghosts and Goblins again, I didn't get far but I did improve. Some of those score are amazing. Now Jino First, very cool that you got an original cab, bit rough looking, but I am sure it will come up a treat. Brilliant Konami shooter. Challenge accepted! I have a working original PCB for this one, so I will put it in my Time Pilot cocktail (which was what it came with) and make sure I give it plenty of play in the coming month. And maybe take out my new pickup (video up Sunday night) for my vertical cab once I have practised a bit :) Nice score to get started! I'm off to play multiple pinball machines in a Pin Crawl event up north, have a great weekend.

Cracking little shooter game. Never heard of it before. So, fired up the emulator and gave it a go. It's on my faves list now, and I shall be getting many hours of fun from this one for many years. And I'm looking forward to the day I can have a go on the real machine.

The only time I have ever played this was also for a high score challenge down in Exeter years ago. First time I heard of it and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Great game for a challenge

Great looking game, can't remember ever playing or even seeing this game before. Always surprises me seeing unfamiliar games like this with the amount of arcades I used to visit as a kid. Great vid, that arcade just keeps getting better and better.

Very surprised I got any points at all for GnG 😂. Juno First had me hooked after a couple of games last time at the Archive - only managed 90k while I was there so plenty of catching up to do!

Back in 1988 I put 20c into Juno First and clocked the 999999 score 9 times on that single coin. Best 20c I ever spent.

This is one of my favorite games of all time, but that being said, I'm terrible at it. Think my high score was somewhere around 120,000. I have yet to ever see one in the wild and only play it on the 412-in-1

Juno First one of my favourite games. Used to be able to play this game indefinitely in the arcade, without game over. Not sure if it was set to an easier difficulty setting.

Juno first is an underrated arcade game that not many people played bitd it’s got the perfect risk reward with amazing sound effects. It’s almost like a vertical defender.
