I would LOVE to know more about your creative process for coming up with each individual sequence... do you start jamming on your hardware to get ideas and then develop them on Ableton, or do you start from scratch on Ableton?
@MikaForsling3 жыл бұрын
Hey, nice to see you here as well! In most cases I start my sequences/compositions directly in Ableton. I've made an Ableton template where all my hardware synths and drum machines are hooked up on different channels via MIDI, so I can easily play/fool around with all my synths/drums (that uses MIDI) from the Ableton Push. Mostly my process are that I have some kind of idea or concept I wanna try out, rather than just jamming(which also happens time to time).. Hope it makes sense!

Thanks for sharing your talent with us! It's great to see your jam studio from a wider angle. On my second listen, I keep freezing the screen to take my own studio tour... If you would ever consider mixing up your content with an "official" studio tour, that would be great, and make everyone a bit envious ;) By the way, I see you use the OTO effects on most of your pieces... I am considering the investment, but I would be curious to have your thoughts on them. Why those compared to other units? Thanks again and keep it up!

Hey, thanks a lot Charles! A studio tour would be great, I’m thinking of setting up some kind of Q&A in the future. Just need to figure out how to do it.. Regarding the Biscuit, it’s just great, adds great textures, and the filter sounds amazing(a pity it can’t be used on its own) but I think these second hand prices gone crazy. I don’t find myself using it to much since it blends best into more aggressive/distorted soundscapes but when it does it’s perfect. Play around with the software version and see if it’s something..
