This is really nice build details, the biggest problem with all this plastic model kit, is they are not durable and fragile enough, really easy to damage when drop or mishandling, that's why i stop building any plastic model kit because of this issue. also my family always not respected my item, keep touching all my model kit and some of it was gone or throw away damage.

Beautiful job as always on the build. Its a shame they dont include the full engine with the kit. It would be nice to display it with the hood up. Take care
@RLRSwanson3 ай бұрын
It's an odd decision for sure, some versions of the AE86 kit have the engine and engine bay detail sprue and others don't...and it's not like it's a price point thing either IMO. I got the N2 and the red sprinter kit, one has the engine and the other has the body kit and two sets of wheels and where I got them from there was like a dollars worth of difference in the price between the two.

I think the pre painted kits are quite nice for any modeler, new or experienced My only gripe with them is how some of the mould lines are still present and quite obvious from certain angles, most notably on either corner rear, atop the trunk and the tops of the doors I've been working on one for a while now but wanted to get rid on those mould lines and ended up having to take off some of the paint to do so, currently waiting on an order of the the white paint Tamiya lists as what they used on the box so hopefully I can cover it up

The Aoshima Toyota 86 is one of the best kits out there. I have built dozens of variations including Takuni's car. I have an original Toyota GTS painted in the two tone panda colors but I notice the kit's tires are a size too big. If Aoshima corrects this issue the car will be perfect!

It's a great introduction to scale modeling for the beginner, or it's cool as is. Not having a true motor, which is what makes this car great, is a sin.

it is a nice kit,. I love to buy that kit. However one word of advice DO NOT REMOVE ALL THE PARTS FROM ALL THE BRANCHES YOU ARE NOT GOING TO KNOW WHERE ALL THE APRTS WILL GO this is simple TAKE WHAT IS NEEDED FOR ONE STAGE AT A TIME.. your not going to get lost. There you have it remove what is needed for one stage at a time not all at once there you have it GOOD LUCK

what are the keywords for when you're looking for kits like this? i'm interested in cars with all these suspension parts for gluing together, not necessarily pre-painted
@JunsMiniGarage3 ай бұрын
Most of these plastic models produced by Tamiya and Aoshima will include detailed suspension parts. The newer ones have many individual parts, too. Try using key words such as 1/24, Tamiya, Aoshima, and the model of cars you wish to build and you should be able to find them.👍

I am curious, you use your right hand for gluing but you put the glue on the left side of your work space meaning you have to reach over all your work. Don't know about you but I find the more I have to reach over my work, the more likely I will knock something over creating a self made disaster. Any reason you don't put the glue on the right side for easier access? Maybe it is for the dramatic tension of the video?🤔
@JunsMiniGarage3 ай бұрын
I used to place my super glue on the right side before, thinking it’s more convenient(and it is) but more than once I glued my arm or sleeve to it while reaching over to get parts or tools(and sometimes I put parts over the glue without realizing it) By placing it on the left I am more aware of its location, that way I don’t accidentally get glue on things that aren’t supposed to. I also close the cap tight on my Tamiya’s cement after every use now.(I knocked one over when the cap was not shut before…)🥲Just personal preference.
@ScaleAutoGarage3 ай бұрын
@@JunsMiniGarage I completely understand all of this and have done many of the same things myself. I’m still stubborn tho and put the glue on the right side. I do try and keep it higher on the mat so my arm doesn’t rest on it any longer but yeah, I feel all those incidents. 🤣

This model kit are sold out everywhere. Aoshima has no plan to restock it and it is an odd decision. They should know that it is sold out. I tried to find this kit in Akihabara earlier in this year and I couldn't find it! Also how do you make this license plate? I just print it with ink jet printer?

I created the license plate on Aoshima’s license plate maker website(Aoshima-car)then I printed it out with an inkjet printer. You have to change the language setting to Japanese on their website, otherwise it will only allow you to make European plates.
