Jupiter and Saturn - the "Christmas Conjunction"

Taking pictures of Jupiter and Saturn simultaneously through my telescope.
This is the conjunction that various media outlets have erroneously called the "Star of Bethlehem"...
Venus actually puts on a more impressive show to the naked eye than a conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.

No Dec 21😭 the 21st. Was disappointing on the East coast

It was equally disappointing on the West coast. Clouds and pouring down rain the evening of the 21st. Then it suddenly cleared up an hour after Jupiter and Saturn had set. My take on this is that it was really over-hyped. Mars, Venus, and even the star Sirius put on a better show to the naked eye.
