I love Kirstie's dresses, and it's refreshing to see that she wears the same one on different episodes, like the one on this episode. Both couples extremely picky. The third house for Kirstie's couple was ideal, and they can't compromise on the garden? Sheesh. Thanks for the upload.

House one was a very good match for the blended family with two children. The garden was lovely. You can't conjure up more space for a garden. Yes, the bathroom was badly positioned, but Kirstie presented an excellent plan to reconfigure the downstairs. I would have gotten a quote from a builder. They could have then decided whether to go for it, offer 10,000 under asking.... or, they could have lived with the present layout for a few years. The garden was ready to go. The house had the space required, plus the equal bedrooms.

It's interesting about bedrooms exactly the same size. One child might like a snug bedroom in the eaves, another might want more space to spread out toys. Personality leads. I understand that it becomes something different in a family with step-parents but there are lots of ways to make children's bedrooms comfortable without making them equal size.

With Kirstie' search, it is odd, but many of the houses in the street I grew up in met the criteria for two equal sized bedrooms with a larger princilpal one. Our house had an 11x15 feet main plus two secondary bedroom thst were 9x10 feet. Not huge, but big enough for comfort. Only one bath and no where to add a second upstairs, there were other options. That house included eat in kitchen and living room, both 11x15 feet and a separate dining room that was 13x10. With very little floor space wasted on landings, it lived large for a small semi detached Edwardian house. Phil's house 1 is, to me, perfection. Beautiful drawing room, lovely formal dining room, and I'm with Phil, knocking through the wall between the kitchen and study makes a great room.

Very picky buyers this time. The couple with the older teens needs to realize that they aren't going to be around for much longer. They'll be off to University and then starting their own lives. The other couple haven't got enough imagination. It's not necessary that each bedroom be equal. Give the child who takes the smaller one something to make up for it. A new bike or a game system and TV in the room.
