Wow..........while watching this, I was thinking of the movie and all the hi-tech stuff on board, the LED trail lights for the footways and tech they had, as well as the mood lighting they used whilst filming........amazing how basic it really is, really love watching these vids and seeing how the restoration is coming along, people slated the movie, but I've loved everyone of them, each one has its own moral tale and as always - the Raptors were my favourite LOL. I know they did the cliff hanger sequence via a parking lot at Universal, but amazing how the 'pull up' shots of the RV was actually where you showed in the vid.........and not in Hawaii........so it would be wonderful to see that RV + Trailer docked at that area in CA where you showed. Hopefully it will be restored to look EXACTLY like it did in JP2........as always, love watching these video updates, and thank you so much for sharing the gossip with us ;-)

from what I understand, basically having the camera crew was really slowing it down, cause they could only film at specific times, the owner got frustrated with the speed and the politics of it all, and gave up for a while, came back and finally got it back on the road and then sold it for non related personal reasons, mainly he had a kid and wasn't going to be coming to the states much anymore.

I love the fact that they used Socapex connectors for the power. My experience would lead me to believe this was used for lighting however it would make more sense to run an RV like this with 8 connectors and 6 plugs ea. allowing for 48 power sources. Smartly done.

I was just watching the behind the scenes and they said they cut into the roof to mount the cranes for the cliff hanging scene, so maybe the panels cut into the roof were for the crane and not for the cameras since this one appears to never had all the electronics installed on the interior.

import a eurospec parts ml and then swap the wiring and trans over ...after thats done buy the book www.amazon.com/Mercedes-Benz-M-Class-Complete-All-New-Utility/dp/0760304319 and look over the drawings and mods that mercedes benz included of the jurassic park ml320s, personally I'd do one using a ml55 amg as a base

There is no issue there but maybe cultural. They have a business to run. You're on their land, using their power, they have to charge you for that. That's common sens !
