Great video once again. Awesome review. And I love your fast food analogy. It makes more sense then saying “Guilty pleasure.” I’ve always hated that term because I don’t feel guilty for enjoying or even loving what another person or the majority thinks is a bad movie. I know it’s not that great and that it has many obvious flaws but dammit I love it every time I watch it. Lol I have a lot of 90s fast food movies because as a child I don’t care about critiquing shit and as I grow up and rewatch it, nostalgia defends it most of the time. Which in turn, makes it a fast food movie😎

Exactly. People always ask me what my guilty pleasure movies are. That term just doesn’t resonate with me at all or communicate how i watch movies. At the same time, of course there are movies which I enjoy that I can easily acknowledge as not very good. That’s one of the reasons I do both a letter and number grade. I want to distinguish between how good I think it is and how entertaining it is

I love both the new movies. The characters are great but what I love is the way that you're able to connect with the dinosaurs. They aren't all just animals. Blue actually connects with the audience as well as the t-rex. The two movies aren't as good as Jurassic park but definitely both better than the other two. Not an amazing movie but as a dinosaur fanatic this is one of my favourite movies.

Good video. I love the Jurassic World more than any movie. It is just so perfect in my opinion. When l went to watch fallen kindom it had many beatiful scenes (example brachiosaurus scene) but in the Jurassic World all of the scenes are amazing. And blue. My favorite character ever.

MEAT HEAD 21 Maybe in your opinion but in my it is the best. I think that becouse there is no aspect in the movie that l didint like. The character Evolution was great and acting was perfect. The kids did great job and the plot was good. The indomius Rex was cool and felt like a theart to the main characters and blue...l loved the raptors. They were so great and last batlle when rexy is down and all hope is lost blue comes to save the day and then begins epic batle.

I really like both of the Jurassic World films. Personally I prefer the newer one over all. Having said that it does have some slow moments and the villains aren't great. However the first act is fantastic for me and the third act is unique to this film in it's delivery. The other Jurassic World film is great but very one note and a bit silly at times.

good review! i feel the same way. jurassic park is just one of those movies i can put on and mindlessly watch when i'm bored or i feel like watching something but can"t decide on what "new" thing i want to watch. also, i'm a fairly new fan to your channel so i'm not sure if you've done this already, but if you haven't, would you consider doing a review of either of the western adaptions of godzilla?

I really liked Jurassic World, I remember watching it on the same day after I graduated middle school and that was a great way to start summer Vacation. This movie is the definition of summer, popcorn fun and the best sequel we have to Jurassic Park. I miss the summer of 2015. You say this movie got mixed reviews? It’s a solid 7/10 for me, it’s about on par with The Lost World and a bit better than III, but it is slightly frustrating that it feels like none of the sequels (though they are all very watchable) even try to come close to being anywhere near as good as the first one. That’s my take on the franchise. Great video btw!

Jurassic world is my favorite of the franchise even over the original. Has the build up elements, has the best dinosaur antagonist with the indominus Rex. It’s the most entertaining, and and has the best ending to any of the movies. For anyone to go against those facts is beyond me

Mainly I’m trying to figure out how to add my own graphics like when you throw up your ratings and stuff. Is there a program that I need to download on my laptop to edit these things in. I use adobe premiere and I have for 15 years. I don’t really know nor can I recommend any of the cheaper/free options. My intro is something I put together using After Effects and my rating section was designed in photoshop and premiere. I’m not sure if that’s helpful at all since it’s not cheap software. But that’s what I use.

The only problem with the taco bell analogy is shouldn't we be encouraging the studios to do better? Like why settle for Taco Bell when you can have steak? The fact this was such a hit has given them the wrong impression and we can see that in JW2 and especially the set up for JW3

To continue that analogy....how often do you eat steak? I’m all for steak. I still only eat it maybe once per month. There’s not enough cows to slaughter to make steak readily available at a price that is consumable daily. It would be great if I could eat luxury food daily and it would be great if everyone movie would be best of the year quality, but there food supply/talent pool isn’t rich enough for that to be a reality. So sometimes you get a great meal and sometimes you get junk food you enjoy. Some times you get a classic of the genre and sometimes you get a movie pack with issues but ridiculous crowd pleasing moments

For what this film is and what its trying to be its amazing. Granted the the story and characters are thin and flawed but man is it super entertaining. Chris pratt doing is sarcastic, chris pratt jokes are all absolutely hilarious. Despite being a dinosaur, the indominus is a terrifying great villain. The action and cgi are both epic. Even the heartwarming brotherly bond between the bros is great as is the development of claire, who learns to actually care about the dinos and stops being the business women

Great video, I totally agree with this assessment. Just gotta say, just because Marvel movies (MCU or otherwise) have been so big for so long, if you look at the actors in this film as the characters played in Marvel movies, it gets really entertaining, and arguably could make a better story than we got in the original movie! "Gwen Stacy gets hired by Rajit Ratha of Oscorp to run a dinosaur park, and Star-Lord, recently returned from space, has decided to use his experience communicating with talking raccoons and trees to training raptors in this same park. He is assisted by Bishop, who since Wolverine fixed the timeline, no longer needs to be a freedom fighter. The Kingpin, Wilson Fisk, has gotten out of jail and now wants to use the raptors to help him in his takeover of the criminal underworld of NYC. Meanwhile, Maggie Lang is not very lucky with love. After not being able to make it work with either Paxton OR Scott Lang, she has married another man, Scott Mitchell, and is now in the process of divorcing him too. This man has two sons and has been trying to be a better father, especially to his younger son Harley, who helped out Tony Stark for a while. After Maggie reaches out to her estranged stepsister, Gwen, Gwen agrees to have the kids come visit the park. Things go south when a new dinosaur breaks out of containment. Noburo Mori, after leaving Japan in disgrace after being thrown out of a window by The Wolverine, tried to restart his life and was hired as the head of security, due to his time as Minister Of Defense. Instead, his life was ended when he led men to capture it". Then the rest of the movie plays out. Heck, I'd watch it!

I will say they did justify why they wanted raptors. They say when a real war breaks out an EMP would knock out all the tech and that humans have used animals in war all the time (horses, elephants etc)

I loved Jurassic World so much I saw it twice!!! I had a lot of fun with this movie!!! It had action, humor and Dinosaur mania galore. The indominus rex was scary and the final battle was epic!!! I remember everyone in the theater applauded when the T Rex showed up on screen. Overall the movie was exciting and very entertaining!!! I love taco bell as well!!! It's one of my favorite fast food places!!!

I like this movie. You summed it up best but I think the stupidness actually helps it. It wasn't trying to be a small think piece, it knew it wanted to be a big stupid movie where soldiers fight military dinosaurs with Chris Pratt on a motorcycle and it succeeded. Chris Pratt just brings his near constant charm to his role that it makes the nothing character seem interesting. Can't really say that about anyone else but he helps the movie a lot. 2 other things: Thanks, now I'm craving cheap soggy Quesodilla. And I love your Force Awakens poster.

So spot on, Sean! I only watched this once at the theatres and I hated it. Then I watched it yesterday on DVD and it was fun. The problem I have with this are the Veloceraptors. First, they join the army kinda guys to hunt the monster dino. The Veloceraptors and monster dino have a little dino talk and the Veloceraptors turn against the humans. In the final battle, the Veloceraptors are first after the humans, then Chris Pratt kind of reminds them that they're "friends" and the Velocerapters then turn on the monster dino. Like WTF?! So yes, if you "turn off your brain" it's enjoyable. If not, it's utter crap. The sad thing is that regardless of the high entertainment level, the original JP didn't require you to turn off your brain. That's why it has stayed a classic. So JW is fun but bad for your brain, lol.

Everyone’s biggest criticism against this movie seems to be the high heels scene. When Clair is running from the T-Rex and she is wearing high heels and somehow outruns the Rex. However, a lady did the 100 meter dash in just over 15 seconds while wearing high heels. With a T-Rex’s estimated top speed being slower than that, she would have been able to outrun it. Therefore this movie is perfect! (Just kidding there’s other flaws)

I didn’t mind the dumb factor, which was extreme. The thing that really got me was how bad and CGI the dinos were. I went back and rewatched the original and sequels after seeing Jurassic World. The dinos were so much more real and terrifying in the original.

not crazy about this one. it's not even a Taco Bell movie for me, I just find it kind of boring. I don't hate it, I just think it's meh. we already talked about it being dumb. but like the other Jurassic park sequels, there's little to no substance to it. very thin characters and a very hollow storyline. it doesn't have to be super complex but I would like at least a little substance, and this movie didn't have much.

You know what's weird? Guardians of the Galaxy came out in 2014, and Jurassic World came out in 2015, a year later after Gotg. Now Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 came out in 2017 (3 years after the first one), and Jurassic World 2 came out in 2018 (3 years after the first one), again a year later after Gotg Vol. 2. Later Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will come out in 2020 (Again 3 years after it's predecessor), and Jurassic World 3 will come out in 2021 (Again 3 years after it's predecessor), once again a year later after Gotg Vol. 3. Is that a coincidence? Lol.
