SYNOPSIS: Jurassic World 2 (2018)
Three years after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing return to the island of Isla Nublar to save the remaining dinosaurs from a volcano that's about to erupt. I liked this one. The villains weren't great which is pretty standard for a blockbuster. Other than that it was an enjoyable movie. Great action, some character development for Claire and Owen and even Blue. Whilst it might come off as a bit corny to some, I liked the Gothic horror side of things. It was a fun change of pace for me.

Yeah nup, I had to skip past that. I watched it for the first time on my computer, so I wasn't forced to watch or listen to it like I would have been in a cinema. In these reviews, I have to close my eyes and ears when they go over that part haha. Perhaps I'm too soft. Don't care..I don't like animals suffering, even fake ones.

100% agree with you about the trailers!! In my review that was my biggest beef with it! Not as bad as that BvS trailer, but it was bad! And it took some of the excitement out of the movie for me.

Awesome review, personally I had a massive problem with the characters in this film, the only character to have an arc was the little girl, Bryce Dallas Howard had a small arc but her motivations were so different from the first one it felt strange. Pratt goes through no arc at all, and the other 2 people are just annoying. The villains are laughable and their motivations don't make sense. The action was good though and went back to the more suspenseful tone of the original which I appreciated.

So I watched Fallen Kingdom early in Korea. However, I think they actually CUT OUT SOME PARTS TO MAKE IT LESS VIOLENT! For example, the hunter's arm wasn't seen being torn off. It was just bitten. Also, Eli wasn't torn in half by Rexy and the Carnotaurus, just bitten on the head by only Rexy. I'm pretty disappointed by that. Love your vids btw!

The extinction factor in the movie signifies the end of a dream. In the original Jurassic Park, John Hammond had the dream to where dinosaurs could live once again. And he wanted people to see those dinosaurs, but at a safe distance (we all know how that ended up though). And then you get to this movie, where the dream is dying. The island explodes, where the majority of the dinosaurs die. And then they are brought back to the US and are let loose on the country, where people are now in danger.

Sure, Ken Wheatley made a really dumb decision by entering the cage, but God I loved watching him get lifted off of the ground, loosing his arm, then getting thrashed around like a rag doll by the wasted, and he probably got ripped In two pieces no matter what happened. 6:13 No Way. I literally laughed during two of the most violent scenes in the movie. (Spoilers: The scene where the dude escapes the t-rex and gets eaten by the sea world dino was hilarious. And I verbally laughed when a businessman got thrown across the room when the head-but-dino lets loose) Second, once they showed the IndoRaptor fully, I completely stopped being scared of it at all. When it killed the dude who got in his cage by messing with him, it felt like I was watching a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

I love this movie just as much if not more than Jurrasic world. So many more dinosaurs! Love the different direction they went interms of the climax happening in a smaller perimeter. Love the intensity of the action, the unexpected ending, how it sets up the next movie and I love the aspects of 'if it was all real'. I think it makes it more interesting and exciting. I think movie reviewers these days want movies like The Godfather and Shawshank Redemption, that are like, "movie gold" to be the norm, and want action movies to be in the same league as the former. Movies these days may not have the quality writing of movies like those, though they're great in a different way. Yes, action movies these days push the bounds of reality, and because they focus so much on the spectacle and the suspense, more often than not, they won't have the same quality screenplay etc. I don't mind. They're good in their own way. I don't watch these movies and expect a movie that's going to be in a writers Hall of Fame. I watch them to just enjoy the spectacle and suspense. Jurassic Park can never be topped, but once you've already introduced dinosaurs for the first time, you can't ever do that again. The Lost World had dinosaurs introduced to civilization. You can't really do _that_ again, either. Those two movies are brilliant and I love them (I used to hate TLW, and now I have no idea why because it's awesome), and from there, any that come after them aren't going to be the same in terms of wonder and awe. Just gotta enjoy the sequels for what they are. P.S. I love JP 3 hahaha. I realise how awful it is in terms of a "great movie", though I love it simply because of how tacky and ridiculous it is ❤️ Jurassic World is much better, though it can't take the place in my heart that JP 3 has.

I loved this movie a lot, 2nd favorite one so far. The thrills were great, the character development was great, and the Indoraptor was amazing, they did such a good job showing its intelligence, I fell in love with it as soon as it smiled at the fact it was tricking the dude. The scene with the Brachiosaurus on the dock was so emotional. I can see where people might not like the movie and if you don’t, that’s perfectly fine, but I personally loved it (Also I liked Franklin)

By far the best review I've seen of this film. I only really disagree on the point that the extinction sucks the fun out of the movie, which I can still understand but it just doesn't really apply to me. I rewatched this film a few days ago finally and I did find it more enjoyable than my first watch surprisingly. I think it's because I was more focused on the exciting scenes than just thinking "what the fuck is going on" like I was when I first saw it in theaters.

Hold up internet, the cloning subplot made it better. It is very easy to say we are above these animals and use them for purposes by making maisie a clone that gives her something in common with the dinosaurs and that they are biologically equals and this is why she does what she does at the button scene.

I finally went and saw it, and I'm glad I did. I mostly loved the movie.... but the ending? I don't get it. Like... casual surfing with a megladon? Sure. Lion vs. T-Rex roar battle? Obviously. Pterodactyls instead of seagulls? Of course. Heck, even the girl? She's fake? Or I guess... recreated? That's fair I guess. Except absolutely none of that makes any sense. What's the 3rd movie gonna be? The actual 3rd act? The final battle for this movie? I didn't ever watch the trailers, on purpose. I didn't want to know anything about the movie. So without that, it wasn't as bad as some people have said. I definitely agree with the thriller aspect of it all. Super intense parts all the time, honestly wasn't ever sure if the nerd guy was going to survive at any point in time (would have been okay if he never did). Honestly there were times when I thought they were going to kill one of the stars, especially as it kinda seemed like the could have replaced them with the girl or the business man (who started off a little vague and hard to follow for me). The only other thing that REALLY bothered me, not even a huge thing, was how many tranquilizers does it takes to put a Tyrannosaurus Rex to sleep for hours upon hours on a moving ship? Overall I loved the movie, but it definitely had me going "what the heck? You serious" quite often.

I had a lot of fun with this movie. I totally understand quite a bit of the criticisms, but some people are letting the negatives ruin the fun that can be had with this film. All film is subjective though, and if it didn't work for them, that's cool. I enjoyed it. I do really hope they explore the Maisie character more in the third one rather than just the throw-away line about her being a clone in this film.

I do agree that the trailers revealed too much. For me, I didn't initially see the cloning twist coming but looking back now I can see it. My main issue was them showing the dinosaurs dying after we've had time throughout the whole franchise to adore them. Especially the last one as they leave the island. That was unnecessary heartbreak in my opinion. Finally yes. The guy intern was beyond annoying. I couldn't stand him.

A New 2017-2018 trend: When 2 sequels to an iconic movie trilogy is made the first film makes money but has some decently big flaws and Sean Chandler says there easily consumable films(I would use the iconic phrase #TacoBellMovie but he doesn't call Force Awakens a #TacoBellMovie) and the sequel.......Divides people some hate some love and those to franchises are Star Wars and Jurassic Park/Jurassic World

I think that the movie would have greatly benefited if they had replaced Eli Mills with Lewis Dodgson and the auction with Biosyn. Other than that I enjoyed the film sure I have a lot of nitpicking about it. But I was entertained and I like the direction they are hinting at for the next film, here's to hoping for a Valley of Gwangi reference.

I just saw this movie last night. For the most part I liked it but I have my own little problems and nitpicks with it too. First, character development. The movie isn’t driven on this but the audience is watching the dinosaurs grow instead of the human characters. Owen and Claire are in the exact same place as they were in the last movie (they tried dating, broke up, now they have to survive some dinos and find out that they really should be together). Will Henry Wu ever find a suitable business partner? Luckily the ones he has picked have had a personal army that helps him escape. Also this movie kind of felt they copy and pasted The Lost World’s plot and just made some tweaks to it. First you have sick old man in bath robe that sends a crew to the island. Then you have the guy in the suit who’s “great idea” is to bring these murder machines to the U.S. where hopefully everything works out (at least his plan is more evil now instead of the “we bring the zoo to them” plot)

And there’s the bald expert hunter that was sent by the guy in the suit to catch all the dinosaurs. except this time they stripped his motives and brain away and gave us a more dumbed down version of the character. BUT even withal those similarities, I think this movie leaves us off in a better place than what The Lost World did. Bc in my opinion the first trilogy messed up JP3 by taking them back to an island. We just saw a T-Rex rip San Diego apart and what do we get next? Joe Johnston: “At this point in time people have seen how dangerous and terrifying these animals really are. But let’s ignore all that and just back to the basics and return to an island. But don’t worry bc this time we’ll have a cool new dinosaur for you to enjoy.” This time though, when we return for JW3 (hopefully) we’ll be able to see people and dinosaurs actually co-exist. It actually leaves me excited and hopeful to see another Jurassic Movie. Overall I’d give this movie a 6.5/10. Good enough

I thought this movie was very awesome It had a lot of sad moments which really made the movie awesome for me I nearly cried when they left that one dinosaur left behind and I love that the dinosaurs are now free and it really is a Jurassic world and I can’t wait for the third movie in the Jurassic world franchise

I think Jurassic World (2015) had better effects, and the Claire’s nephews worked, because they were kids we cared about from the beginning. The annoying milennial sucked the enjoyment out of it. Plus, I believe if you call a movie “Fallen Kingdom”, then actually kill them off. If that’s not your route, then don’t use that name. Also, in my mind, the scene of the long neck dinosaur being left stranded in the island sucked a lot of fun from that point on until the 3rd act of the film. I was bored and sad until Owen found out how to escape the cage.

You forgot the worse thing the creators of this movie did. The killed ,and this was confermed by them. The y killed the brachiosaurus that Alan Grant and Ellie Satler see in the first Jurassic park.

After the first viewing I had mixed feelings but unlike The Last Jedi I did want to see it again. After the second viewing it was a lot better but felt a lot like The Lost World. A little like The Force Awakens is just a copy of A New Hope.

I think Macey being a clone tied into the movie in the way that she pushed the button and released the dinosaurs because she understood their pain

That’s not really tieing into the plot as a whole. It’s relevant to one decision in one moment. But if you asked the writers why they added a human clone character as a big twist and they answered, “so we’d have someone to push the button at the end,” that would be a weird, unsatisfying answer

Also the girl is the one who released the dinosaurs into the world because she is a clone made through the same processes that the dinosaurs were made of

If one thing for sure although I liked this film as a Jurassic park film but having problems with it and it divided the fan base at least the film did not destroy the magic of the franchise like the last Jedi did.

This movie was hell of divisive but the main problem for me was there was not enough time on the island so we didn’t get enough to time to like say goodbye to the island and the characters could have developed better in the island like the tooth colector dude he could have been like the Roland Timbo and Robert Mouldon mix like being the guy that not exactly has the best intentions but is not a dick and then when he dies cause of indoraptor he can say “clever girl” and give us that huge nostalgia and also the millennial dude could have been replaced by Laury of the first JW and made it so much better and also the human clone thing was stupid I would have been better if Hammond was just mad at Lockwood for creating biosin and for those who don’t know what was biosin that was the company that contracted Nedry into getting the embryos . But in the end if I were to give a rating it would be 69%r.t. and a 7.4/10

This was a good new movie for the Jurassic World Series. But I think the Indoraptor if that is how you spell it is very underpowered compared to the Indominus Rex. If you agree please leave a like🤗

I like it The island part was good but short Maise is the best character Indoraptor was okay The biding was okay Claire is better than the first Boring second act Jeff goldbloon was awesome The dinosaurs are out 7.5/10

As I always say. I loved this movie, don't get me wrong it's not a perfect movie, but I've loved dinosaurs since I was 3. And I had an absolute blast with it. It is my 2nd favourite movie in the franchise 7.5/10

Do I agree with Claire and Owen rescuing the dinosaurs.....NO. Did I enjoy the movie......ABSOLUTELY. Just because you have characters with different viewpoints doesn't mean the film's bad. In fact it complicates things and makes the movie more interesting!

Sean you always rule, but you nitpicked the HELL out of this film. This is the 5th film in about dinosaurs. They had to try something new. Was it perfect? No. But you have to realize that nobody is ever going to be Speilberg and capture that lightning in a bottle. I appreciate the heck out of something different this time around and it not being on an island for the upteenth time. I will agree that the film has great, tension based moments that were missing from the past few previous entries. Alot of the criticism you have in this was obviously made to setup the next film, which you didnt know what took place fairly enough. So that being said, you can take back some of the stuff you said, like the cloned little girl and the dinos let loose at the end.
