@@Vizeh as I've predicted for a while (and without trying to be self aggrandising - "ohhh i told you so"), most of them have changed their tune since the announcement. You see the same with Mourinho albeit on a more extreme level - he arrives to the PL, he's a 'breath of fresh air', eventually gets himself chased out of the UK, and then the UK football public later ponder "oh, we do miss Jose don't we, he's box office". They always get taken for granted.

Yeah sure they overspent via illegal Arabian sponsorships, but it’s not like they spent money you had no access to? I as a ManUtd fan am proud that we recklessly spend even though we are not in a position of bringing in talent or in a position of quality scouting. I just wish Liverpool fans would show this same rage towards their owners that they show ManCity. Jürgen came over from Mainz, completely turned around their fortune, gave me as a Dortmund native (who lives close to Munich) my best football memories next to winning the World Cup, reestablished our club as germanys second biggest football force. A voice from abroad: October 2015, the LFC was a club that lived in the past: back then 70s and 80s + UEFA Cup 01 and CL 05 (Istanbul heard a thousand times). First row Premier League (from a European perspective) 2015 were ManU, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham + City was getting stronger even before Pep. LFC was for nostalgics. Klopp awakened the LFC from its “sleeping beauty” - status in Europe like it was back in the 70s and 80s, every team has respect for Anfield.

Two days later and the it still hurts. As a Liverpool, it's sooo biter-sweet. On one hand, I am sad because it will be over in a couple of months. On the other, I can the reasons behind the decision. For me, the tipping point for Klopp was somewhere between the City-Villa match and the final in Paris. With all the chaos and tragedy that happened before the match. Also, Klopp was and will forever be the right person, but at sooo wrong time. If he had come to Liverpool a few years prior, he would've had won more trophies. But yeah, in a way the fact that City were able to win the title on a few occasion with individual class and a bit of luck, makes them something special.

The only manager in our history that we can compare him to, is Shankly. Both of them are the great progenitors of the rise of Liverpool in the pre and present premier league era’s. Shankly never achieved what people would probably try and say he should have, given his historic importance at Liverpool, and that’s what people will try and level against Klopp as well. If the next manager takes what Klopp has built over 9 years and does what Paisley did, it we’ll be what City currently is under Guardiola. Ultimately, I fully expect that the next statue to exist outside Anfield will be Klopp alongside Shankly, and he will forever be held in the same regard as the man who shaped how Liverpool are who they are.

The thing about Klopp leaving Liverpool is that... even those who aren't Liverpool fans or heck, even those who don't follow the Prem that often, can feel some sort of sadness that he will leave a club that pretty much he saved in it's lowest moments, and even going toe to toe against a monster like Man City for... what? Almost 10 years? He may not had won many titles, but taking everything in consideration, those trophies carry alot of weight.

Honestly, I'd just turned 16 when he arrived and he really was a father figure, watching the bear hugs, I felt like I was being embraced. Hearing the critical feedback of whoever was in receipt, I felt it.

Great video man, as a Liverpool fan I'd rather Klopp stayed for another decade even if it meant we never won another trophy in those 10 years. The man is everything, for many of us he's given us the best memories we've ever had in football. But it must be exhausting so have to respect his decision, as devastating as it is ❤

Klopp is a fantastic manager, such a likeable guy too. He’s put Liverpool back to where they belong fighting at the very top competing for trophies. His teams as a neutral are wonderful to watch. Certainly a manager who’s engrossed himself into the city getting that special connection with the fans. Sad to see him leave England but fully expect him to return managing a Real or Barca soon enough if he doesn’t take the German national job.

The Covid season was the one after Liverpool won it really, where the first 30 games or so were with no fans, whereas in the season Liverpool won they were 18 points ahead by the time the season stopped in March. They already won basically. The key issue was no fans to celebrate with, or even have a parade.

Klopp been a goat since Dortmund, when I saw him go to Liverpool I knew he would achieve greatness, he was unlucky at times and still he managed to succeed in ways others couldn't, I'm happy for the man he deserves a break. I just wanna see what could do with Germany, if he ever returns to managing

Its sad seeing him leave Liverpool because he was allways so perfect for that club just like he was perfect for Dortmund and it was incredible what he build there and what he achived but of course i still need to say as a german that we all in germany hope that he becomes the next Manager of our National team and breaths some life back into us just like he did in Mainz, Dortmund and Liverpool. for most of us he is our last hope

He can be a hero and a villain, but one thing is for sure. He, like shankly and saf, are a rare breed of managers whose lives are so ingrained in the club(s) they've managed at the highest level for so long, we might not see another for years to come. Passionate, loyal, hardworking, tireless, inspiring, endearing. This breed of managers leave more than just a bit of their soul into their clubs, which feels less likely to occur in the future with the way and frequency at which most clubs change managers. It could be another generation before we see another manager like klopp, which if a sad thing for football.

One manager buys players from relegated sides, academy graduates, and free transfers from the bundesliga while the other spends 100s of millions on full backs, the most hyped striker on earth and has the backing of a nation state....I ask, who is the hero and who is the villain?
