I forgot to mention how I use the 🚽...Let's just say I let nature do the composting when in the forest and 200ft away from a water source and can dig a cat hole 8 inches or deeper. LOL...Also, bathrooms are pretty accessible in recreation areas in the US.

Nice tour, Loui! We just spent our first week out in our newly converted minivan. Some boondocking, but not remote enough to use nature's toilet. We used a luggable loo. Not exactly pleasant. Lol

Using the restroom, convenience of being a healthy weight. I totally wouldn't be able to let nature do the composting...I'd be wearing half of it afterwards...😂😂😂Nice seeing your mom and Lady again.

I was curious if you sold your fancy composting toilet. I travel in a Subaru Outback. If I’m away from an outhouse I . #2Use a noodle and small bucket. #1 I use a PStyle from Amazon so I can stand up and be like a gye. Best invention ever. So happy for you and your jeep. 💕

Thank you for the nature scenes... The sounds of world nature with the birds in the background. Hi Mom! There's cargo trailers that will hitch to your Jeep and you can build it out Generally they have some kind of wiring already in it get the one with the rock guard they run about $2,500 to $3,500. Excellent investment The only thing you'll need to learn is how to turn it around in those tight spaces. Then you can leave your 4x4 like it is. Keeping that high resale value. Just a thought solar panels inverter kit from harbor freight. Where's your nature head composting to work you had.

Ive also seen van lifers use a tarp for an awning, keeps them cool in the warmer weather. I’m glad to see you travel with a companion, your mom. It’s a safe way to travel. Thanks for sharing essentials needed for nomad living. Ceiling net storage is a great idea. I follow van lifers on KZbin and they have great tips for van living. I love your tips for Jeep living. It looks doable. Spending time in a cafe or library can help you charge your power. Sun solar powered panels for continued free power. This video helps me. Being disabled i am confined to apartment living and i enjoy van life video and travels. Thanks for sharing.

No need to buy an awning. Look up (9ft sport brella) it's super sturdy and originally bought it for the beach because it has a lot of coverage and can withstand high winds. Then I learned it's perfect as an awning for camping in my SUV

You have lived a greener lifestyle than the majority of people for the last few years. I have yet to meet anyone that is perfect in it. You do it your way. I have had people get on to me about various things over the years. I just start talking about potable water misuse in toilets and showers, they tend to shut up and leave me alone. People love their flush toilets and long showers. You don't have to excuse paper towels nor wipes.

u would love the 4xe- camper’s dream. Powers everything thru an inverter. AND when empty the engine kicks in automatically to feed the hi volt battery.so i are covered.

Those fancy car awnings or more trouble than worth. I would do car tent attachment. I've had two campers now and I've gone to my Jeep just to simplify similar to what you're doing. But I want privacy at night if I'm in a campground so that the car adds more space on the backend without the bugs.

For recovery Carry your own snatch strap and D-shackles. You will be surprised how most off-roaders don’t carry one. I always carry mine and I’ve had to replace mine several times because other off-roadies use mine and it gets worn or damaged quickly. Bubba ropes are great, it gets pricey having to replace this when it becomes frayed. But this is the least amount of recovery gear along with leather work gloves to carry. Traction boards… not that much use along with winches. Also carry a shovel. Folding ones are okay. But a regular sized one won’t strain your back.
@AdventureTimeLoui3 жыл бұрын
thanks! I happen to already have a shovel so that’s one step closer!

I also found this for me. I didn´t get a Jeep, but I sold my fully built 7 meter Mercedes Sprinter for a small car that has nothing attached really. Just a matrace rolled up during the day and the rest in boxes. I really like that minimal style because there is just nothing that you have to take care of of that can break, but you still have everything you need! And you can switch things up and adapt them to your needs.

I had one of the batwing awnings...it was too much trouble and broke due to high wind. i was able to get replacement knuckles for it and fix it but it was still a pain in the ass to take out and put in. If I get another awning attached to the vehicle it will be the more simple ones that you can unroll by hand that just covers one side. Hope you are well!
@bengb253 жыл бұрын
I have the OVS Nomadic 270 degree awning. It’s better built, better quality.. it is way affordable compared to other 270 degree awnings. Comes with its own brackets. Be prepared the weight is approximately 85lbs. Just make sure you have a solid mounting point. Great to see you mom is traveling with you again.

Are you ever concerned about ticks? And if so, what kind of tick prevention do you and William use?
@wanderlustaesthete41173 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard about the ticks getting worse and to take precautions. It’s no joke what lime disease can do to you.
@AdventureTimeLoui3 жыл бұрын
oh yes I am very aware of ticks. However, in all my years with him I haven’t actually found any on him. I have him on prescribed flea and tick meds and check him just like you’d do if you lived in a house. There are definitely things to be more worried about with a dog on the road!
@AdventureTimeLoui3 жыл бұрын
It’s really not as bad as people make it out to be. Take it from someone who is outdoors everyday. Just do your normal scans on you and your dog and wear long socks and pants when hiking through grassy areas. Also something that helped me get over my fear was knowing that that chances of contracting Lyme disease are very low if you catch and remove the tick within 24hrs.

no worries my friend! I have William on a prescribed flea and tick medication and do my routine checks before hopping in the van. luckily he has a short light colored coat which is very helpful in spotting them.
