Haunting Adeline surprised me in so many ways. It was my first dark romance (I didn't know I was starting at a level 10, haha) and I had NO idea what I was getting into. Once I realized what dark romance really was and learned to remind myself that in fiction we can enjoy certain things without allowing them in reality - then I ended up LOVING it. Be warned though, Hunting Adeline (the second book in the duet) is the darkest book I've ever read and it did upset me and trigger me, but it also ended up being really healing for me personally. In the end I ended up loving the duet so much I listened to both on audiobook (AMAZING on audible by the way), and purchasing the hardcovers and new preorder paperback covers coming in August. I'm curious as to what you will think, just try to stick with it and see if it ends up surprising you! xx

I've been wanting to read more of Taylor Jenkins Reid's novels, you'll have to let me know what you think! I've had Forever Interrupted and One True Loves on my TBR list for years lol. I've heard so many mixed things about Carley Fortune's books, too... not sure if she's for me but I still want to read them to see for myself! Also I CANNOT believe how scored Haunting Adeline at a goodwill omg!!

You need to read One True Loves... it was really good, but stressed me out!! I'm not gonna lie, TJR's older books have Colleen Hoover vibes to me tbh. and Yes... I couldn't NOT get Haunting Adaline.. $3.99 was such a steal.

Also I read Haunting Adeline and dark dark dark but I enjoyed it so much I read the second one. It has a really good storyline and a great twist

Oh my goodness! Prioritize Into the Drowning Deep. I'm one of the ones that has this book somewhere at the top of my favorite books of all time. It reads like a sci-fi movie. 🙌🏼

Powerless is Young Adult! I absolutely love this series but I feel like it’s definitely a hit or miss with older generations as it is intended for younger audiences but it all depends on your tastes in books!

I actually dont mind YA.... they focus more on the actual romance which I prefer sometimes.

on my old book channel (carahboutbooks) i have a whole video reviewing it. the video/channel is still up, i just dont upload to it anymore. I gave it 3 stars. I did like it... but there were some parts that I felt very tired and bored reading it. I had to start the audiobook about 3/4 of the way through. It was really dark and gritty... but I feel like it could have been SLIGHTLY shorter.... but thats coming from someone who doesnt like descriptive/meandering writing.... i know some peopel really like that.
