When it comes to rifles and the type being carried or not a so called shot gun doesn't stop the bear when its not fired at a very close distance And when its fired even from very close distance the bear will probably chew off your face before it blows out his final breath and that is still unsure there is just no way being sure even carrying different rifles may not stop fear.
