Just a quick update on what's happening with Sid the CB250T based Scrambler Project

It's slowly beginning to come together, the rear wheel is being built and I feel I'm turning a corner.

It doesn't matter how long it's taken so far. You've been very considered, each hurdle has been overcome with thought. You've had the humility to ask for advice and weighed up the suggestions. You're doing a great job. It's a learning process and fascinating to watch. I've undertaken many similar journeys in the past and I'll admit it's a pleasure to see your progress. There are no rules. This is the hard bit but the bit that can make or break a build. It's where a lot of the thinking goes on. It all takes time especially when you're waiting on others to do stuff for you. You'll get there. Incidentally if your speedo drive doesn't match the axle you'll need to sort the ID on that as well.

Thank you. I had test fitted the speedo drive and it's not going to fit, so Im thinking of a digital speedo with a magnetic pickup when I get that far.

You could have just bought a trail bike Ryan,but yours will be unique👍

If I had bought a trail bike it would surely be better off road, but as you say mine will be unique, and there aren't many 250 Parallel twins off road (most likely for a good reason!!)

Yes, I am intending for it to be road legal when finished. The frame was from a 1979 CB250T.

@@RyansGarageUK that’s good news Ryan and hopefully should be tax and mot exempt when you apply for historic status. I think there is a rule if it’s too modified it gets a Q plate if you don’t have a log book,but if you have the log book for it it should be ok just to pop it down the mot station. I could be totally wrong and hopefully someone on here will know more than me,but it’s something to be thinking on as you progress. @@jimbo9310 i do already have the V5, as i wanted to be sure i wasn't going it hit a problem at the end of the build. So hopefully when ready it should be sumple to get it road legal.
