Polygel is honestly the best thing out there. It's more patient than acrylic, but just as strong and workable. It's honestly the best "training wheels" type of material to use if you want to eventually use acrylic. I did my nails using polygel (with a brush, not these extensions) and after a year I started nail school and worked with acrylic for the first time in my life. All I had to learn was the monomer to acrylic ratio and how to work on a time limit before the acrylic hardens. But the feeling of sculpting and shaping the acrylic was already there, thanks to the polygel practice. If you are thinking of starting a nail journey, start with polygel!

Cos acrylic breaks and the filing of ur real nails especially in the centre of the nails to apply the acrylic fucks up ur nails. W the polygel ur literally creating a whole Ass nail for urself that looks so natural and also used to help support growth for weak nails right ?

It only happens when there's a wound, but it's not just cutting cuticles, it can be any would near the nail and cuticle. I've been cutting my cuticles for years and occasionally injured myself but nothing like that ever happened

You have to push back all of that skin to get a good adherence of the product on the nail plate but not everybody cuts off the tissue afterwards. Technically speaking, you're not supposed to because it is the barrier to prevent infection but personally, I hate it so I cut it. Wash hands regularly if you do cut it and should be all good.

yall quick tip if your natural nail cracked just put a bandage on then the next day take a quick bath n wet your cracked nail still with the bandage on then after the shower take it off and your natural nail will be fixed

I just want people to know PolyGel is easier to use but not necessarily "healthier" than acrylic. The healthiest thing you can do is not put nails on AT ALL and just use serums and vitamins

You’re not supposed to trim the cuticle, you should just push it back because it prevents bacteria from getting into your nails.

I love my beautiful long healthy nails and I've always done my own manicures and nail polish/change but if a few nails chip/break I just file all my nails down and start again 😄 like I don't see the point of loading an already weak nail (s) with gel and 💩

I’m the same way with gel extensions! They pop right off in a day or two. Poly gel prep is key. Mine stay on for weeks and then I just fill the growth like I would with acrylic. I do have an efile which I find is key.

@@minahilxbts5925 probably dehydrating, roughing the nail surface and using a bond - another important thing is like shown in this video, shaping it so that there is a seamless slope away from the cuticle (and staying clear of the cuticle with any gel is important too) :)
