A vehicle like this should have a tailgate like a Discovery 4. You can sit on it, you can sleep on it, you can use it as a table. You can drape a tarpaulin over the top. The handbrake should go in the dash like in the olden days. To free up space for the driver, or a cooler. Even better if the gear lever can be mounted as far forward as possible.

twice as expensive as I was expecting it to be; not interested now Maverick base price is a tick over $20K, and more can be done with it than this vehicle. If I was still interested, I'd suggest that they put better dressed wheels and tires on it. What's there is too dull and plain. Needs white letter tires and some brighter wheels. Black is boring.

50 years ago my husband and I had a 1967 land cruiser that we bought just for off road. We put a 350 Chevy engine in it. It was Bullitt proof! Ausome off roader! Since then I bought a 73 jeep cj5 for off roading and I can say from experience, the land cruiser was a far better vehicle for that purpose!

The 90's Toyota 4WDs are truly great trucks, I have a '93 Hilux Surf (manual trans + turbo diesel). So simple, easy to work on, parts are cheap (in the rare case something breaks). The fanciest luxury mine has is electric windows and mirrors... and I kinda wish they were manual. What tyres are you running on yours?

er.. does it? In the video I saw a rotary dial on the dashboard for the diff locks. And a manual lever down next to the gear shifter for the 2H/4H/4L transfer case.
