If you have a video on installing a block heater on my Kioti NX5510 HST Cab tractor > It is the same as your Bobcat CT5545. The dealer wants $450.00 labor cost to install the block heater and rear window wiper. I already watched your rear window wiper install so you already saved me $370.00 labor cost on the wiper install. Thank your great information.

I am glad it was helpful. The dealer threw the block heater in on the purchase, otherwise I would have done a video on it. It took them less than an hour to do and by the time the paperwork was done so were they. I think it is around $90 to purchase the block heater kit outright. It is a super simple install. You drain the coolant, then on the left hand side towards the back of the engine is a threaded plug. Pull the plug and thread the heater back in its place, refill coolant and you are done. Thanks for the feedback!

Hello and congrats! I have several videos up on KZbin of some of the features of the Bobcat tractors, if you click on the Gaining Ground icon it should take you to them. I will get a video up on the basics for you as soon as I can. Thanks for the feedback!

Simple question....What made you choose Bobcat instead of Kubota or John deere( more proven brand)....is it the price? proximity of dealership....quality ...where it s made...Good salesman..Good service...??? Anyway we rented a small bobcat excavator on the farm and i was pretty impressed that why we were curious about their tractors.....We are farming in Nova scotia,canada
@gaining_ground2 жыл бұрын
Price was the main factor. It was almost half of what John Deere wanted for the same size tractor with less features. It is basically a Kioti NX series tractor painted white and was over $6k cheaper than what Kioti was asking. They are assembled in North Dakota. The salesmen are nice, but don't know a lot about the tractors, mainly because they haven't been out long and they just haven't sold many. Service so far has been less than spectacular, again I attribute it to the newness and lack of trackable issues across the models. I have owned Bobcat excavators and skidsteers and think they are great machines. Because of that I assumed their tractors would be quality also, which they could be. I have several smallish issues with mine, but the engine and drivetrain so far are very good.

Did you ever get your gift box from Bobcat? I got a really cool box with gloves and I think it was a keychain.
@gaining_ground2 жыл бұрын
I did. About a month ago. Some nice leather gloves, a keychain and discount for an implement. I wasn’t expecting it, which made it a nice little surprise.
@beaushirley46682 жыл бұрын
@@gaining_ground that is great. I was told I would get the discount. And my salesman said last year all you would get is a coffee mug and discount.

Does that actually fit in the shipping container?
@gaining_ground10 ай бұрын
Yes, it does. I have the high capacity one with 9ft ceiling. The top of the cab is right at 8ft. Width wise there is plenty of room, you just can’t open the cab door fully.

Looking into buying a tractor and was looking at the ct5550. Do you still recommend this tractor and is there any features or implements you feel is a must.
@gaining_ground3 жыл бұрын
Hello. Yes, I would recommend the Bobcat/ Kioti line. I am pleased so far with mine. As for features I think the cabbed models come standard with all (with the exception of radio and additional remotes). The features I use the most are the HST cruise and No Stall. On the implement side without a doubt the loader is a must and pallet forks are well worth the money, in addition I use my brush mower and box scraper a good chunk of the time. Hopefully very soon, if the spring weather would ever cooperate, I am going to do a like/dislike video now that I've reached the 100hr mark. Hope that helps.

When I get my 2540 back to the property I want to look at my front toe. In this video it appears as though the toe is somewhat different.

I don’t think salesman really know a lot about these tractors since they are relatively new to the market.

I'm looking at getting a CT5545. Curious as to whether you can store yours in the container? If so, can u open the doors of the tractor enough to get out? Finally is it an 8' or 9' container?
@gaining_ground3 жыл бұрын
Hello, I do store it in the container. It fits fine, the rear tires are quite a bit wider than the cab, so getting in and out of the cab is easy for me. It is tight when it comes to walking around it once inside, but I can squeeze by. My container is a high cube with 9' ceiling. I think an 8' standard height container would be too tight to fit in height wise, if you had the beacon option I think it puts the overall height above 8'. I don't have mine flat on the ground because of burrowing critters that love the void under containers, so the step up puts the cab at an angle when driving in and out that would more than likely hit if it was an 8'. Hope that helps.

@@gaining_ground Thank you. That helps. Yeah, I store my current inside a high cube due to rattlesnakes

Does it have A/C and heat ?
@gaining_ground Жыл бұрын
Yes. They both work very well. I would like if it had just a bit higher volume on the air movement, when all the vents are in use it doesn’t seem to have as much airflow as you would think.

It was around $37 a year ago. The price has been increasing like everything else these days. I think they are around $42-44 right now.
