Red or Blue headlights is illegal. People and Police COULD say you’re impersonating an officer. That’s what I was told. Plus it’s not safe for you or other drivers because you can’t see the road. & people could think your an emergency vehicle which causes a disturbance. This is all I was told! I’m just trying to help you out.

There should be a common law in all states. Kinda frustrating how for every state there is always weird laws. In Texas it’s only illegal if it blinks. As well with any blinking blue light. Other than that, you can have any color light. But a cop’s bias is always untold.

You hit a home run with the red side blades...the contrasting side blades is what sets off the R8. Never been a fan of colored or tinted lights/tail lights...I don’t fool around with “safety” stuff like that and I find it looks tacky. Good to see the Summit Auto Lab friends. I didn't want to give any suggestions since he can pick whatever he wants, but I agree, dark metalic red wrap would be epic. Satin black is better than matte black, but it has to be pulled of spot on. Quality of the wrap makes heck of a lot of difference, too.

The smoke layer over the red on the headlights looks badass. You need to add some sort of a red stripe on the box to match the car, preferably on the side just as the car is. The red brake calipers will rock also. After seeing the headlights actually on, some of those under-car light effects might work also, but not sure of the legality in your area (they are illegal here in Maine).

R8 GT body kit ... All chrome / aluminum trim incl. exhaust tips and gas cap grill etc. wrapped to -> Gloss Black ... OEM wheels upgrade to -> HRE S200 powder coated “gloss black face” & “hyper red accent” .. Rosa Cora red Caliper paint .. Bake headlamps and spray the chrome housing -> Gloss Black. Nasty!

After seeing the nardo R8 with the subtle wing, something like that would complete the lines and be a relatively easy mod. Could then decide whether to keep it black or red. Black wheels and red calipers would jump out and look sick. Rear diffuser, front splitter and get some updates to the ECU if not already done.
