All due respect to Randy, Jake E Lee had a way of being a bit more creative on the technique side. Just one example (of many) was on the "Never know why" intro, with the simulated delay. It is subtle but such a cool technique getting the repeat/delay out with his hands rather than an effects pedal.

Jake was and still is a very underrated guitar player and I think did a great job with his time with Ozzy. Randy Rhoads to me added classical guitar into metal in a way that was subtle yet obvious that there was something different in his style then most players during that time. The thing that was so great about Randy is his desire to always get better. I can only imagine what great things he would have done. The short time he was here he created music that even today is some of the best metal guitar ever written.

I was listening to a Petrucci radio channel and this song Reflective came on by a guy named Kiko Loureiro. I played it over and over. It is one of those songs that pulled me in. So of course I had to find out more about him and more of his music. One of the best things to me is when I find out that musicians who inspire me are also great human beings and great role models. I have always had love and respect for the band Rush. Just like Kiko very talented musicians but also super down to earth people. I saw this in Kiko while watching one of his many lessons. He never talks down on anyone or any kind of music. Total class act. Someone I just want great things for. You can see that in this video and I became an instant fan. Ohh and he is one hell of a guitar player. Another musician I felt was a very good guy was Randy Rhoads. I was so glad to hear him pick Randy even though I know he is good friends with Zack.

@@LionMetalMusic-videochannel Rock n Roll! Are you kidding me? Sad Wings of Destiny is the greatest heavy metal album ever made. It is the template all metal bands use to develop their sound. Same with Sin After Sin, Stained Class and Killing Machine. JP may not have invented metal but they developed it further and laid down the template for speed and thrash metal. They are the definitive HM band without question much more so than Maiden who took so much from them. Maiden today are not even metal. They are a prog rock folk band.

@@rushshukla4636 lmao Priest are essentially a cover band nowadays and Maiden can also smoke them live. Firepower was great, but it's really the only highlight in their career since Painkiller over 30 years ago. Maiden has done a helluva lot more since 1990. As far as more influential? They are pretty much dead locked. Maiden has influenced just as many bands and guitarists as Priest. Tipton and Downing aren't even present anymore and they were the core of Priest along with the vocals. At least Maiden still has all their members...
