What an amazing tip. I've been cranking wrenches for almost 40 years and never thought of such a simple idea. It just goes to show you never stop learning.

I'll share. I have a long wooden plank shelf on the wall of the garage that I screwed in medium size hooks, like hooks you would use to make a key rack. I then fastened to the wall under the shelf, a Rotella oil jug that I cut the bottom off of and mounted the top half upsude down to the wall. All the hooks are strategically placed depending on the length of the funnel that hangs from it, so that the other end of the funnel lands in the upside down cut-off jug to catch the dripping oil. Hope I explained that clearly. Sometimes (more often than not) I wish you could just post a picture!

Clever and not something I would have thought of. Every time I need a funnel I'm usually searching and/or cleaning them before use, this might save me from both. 👍

Not as compact as some others, but I've got long funnels that go on that which were not shown. Those are what drove me to a chain.

This is a smart idea.I just put a smaller funnel into the mouth of a 1 gallon water jug I've had tied to the side of my box forever, put the other funnels in that. With a simple rag over the top they stay clean, and everything drips into that one container. I've accumulated roughly a gallon of various oils in 3 years. But no messes, or sloppy space wasting containers on the floor, and it looks decent.

That's a good idea, too. Thanks for commenting.

@@toomanytoys I'm always glad to share a simple but effective idea. Hopefully another young technician, or home wrencher can benefit
