Phylaris showed a path that has you showing up to grub spawn level 5. From blue side start raptors and go wolves, gromp, blue then back to red and Krugs into scuttle. Reset and pick up 2 respawned camps. With a fast clearer like Hecarim you can make it to grubs on spawn.

With all due respect, the amount of misinformation in this video is shocking. That is not at all how Grub EXP works, nor how jungle EXP works.

so how do they work?
@Phylaris5 ай бұрын
@@MasoHQlC5GW5btFZ You do not get more EXP from jungle camps because you're level 4, as stated late in the video. Camp EXP does not scale off your champion level, unless you're so severely underleveled that you're getting catchup EXP. Doing Grubs at level 4 vs level 5 does not make any difference in the EXP you receive. You do not have to intentionally try to show up at level 4 instead of level 5 in order to benefit from some kind of doubled EXP. If you can be level 5 at Grubs, be level 5. Additional combat power can only help you. You do not have to show up to fistfight for the very first Grub on every jungler. It is of no more baseline importance than the other two Grubs. It is not special and does not give an insane amount of experience. All three Grubs give the same amount of base EXP. All that's happening is that the first Grub you kill procs your jungle pet bonus EXP - your pet gives some bonus EXP on any large/epic monster you kill (Gromp, Crab, Grubs, Drake, etc.), just as jungle items always have. It would be broken if this bonus EXP procced on every single Grub, so it only procs on the first Grub you kill. But this does not in any way make the first Grub in the camp special and overpowered - EACH jungler gets the bonus pet EXP on the first Grub they kill. If the enemy jungler kills the first Grub and you kill the second, there is zero difference from if you kill the first Grub and he kills the second Grub. You both killed a Grub - you both got one instance of the jungle pet bonus EXP. You do not have to go out of your way to fistfight for the first Grub on every jungler. If you're only going to get one Grub, getting the third Grub is just as good as getting the first Grub. It is also not super fast to take Grubs on all junglers, nor do Grubs always give significantly more EXP than Drake. The first spawn is favored for Grubs, but the scaling on Grubs is completely different from the scaling on other camps. The second spawn Grubs have WAY more HP than the first spawn Grubs, and barely give any more EXP. Meanwhile, the second spawn Drake barely has any more HP than the first spawn Drake, but gives way more EXP. There are many junglers that are painfully slow at doing second spawn Grubs compared to second spawn Drake. The amount of EXP second spawn Grubs/Drake give is also actually pretty close, and the second Drake can actually give more EXP than second spawn Grubs if your team is losing (Drakes give bonus EXP if slain by the lower level team). I think the rationale regarding when the Grub buff is more/less valuable on a game-to-game basis is very sound and well-put. It is just the information and explanations on EXP and timing, I'm not sure where any of it came from. It is not how this stuff actually works.

concise and useful as always tysm

It's logical that the buff is more valuable to the lane pushing/sieging/ranged teamcomp and therefore less valuable to the team getting pushed and sieged. But then wouldn't it be quite valuable to deny that to the enemy team comp?
@kingcromson42335 ай бұрын
Yes, but imo only if the enemy comp is a siege comp or they have dangerous splitpushers like a sion or nasus or sth

The $20 boot camp sounds incredible for 4 weeks worth!!!

now im a pisslow but i think they're so overrated, if you ever have the choice between a kill and the grubs I think the grubs are better 9/10 times provided you can guarantee the kill

grubs are almost always worse than just getting a successful gank or clearing
