Here's just a few ways you can customize one of our star locomotives: the Baldwin 10-24E! Between stacks, air brakes, pilots, cabs, crossheads, domes, headlights, and many other details, the number of unique combinations will shock you!
This locomotive is also known as the Class 56 more commonly on roads like the Denver & Rio Grande.

I like how the team is revealing bits and pieces of the game in a similar way to how Railroader is doing it. Revealing only what answers the questions that people are asking. This video and the whistle video are two examples so far. In the case of Railroader it was what was the map going to be like and how derailments were going to work. Their videos are longer and reveal more. However, they reveal around the same amount as Century of Steam does in the same time frame because their videos have large gaps between each one. While Century of Steam reveals shorter videos with smaller gaps between releases. Both games gives a time frame of when they take place and only reveal some of the locomotive roster, leaving the rest as a surprise for players when the games release. Another similarity between the two games is that both are taking their time to make sure it plays as intended with minimal bugs instead of releasing it as soon as possible. I think I speak for many of us when I say that I prefer a product that takes a while to release, but is a great product rather than one that is released quickly, but is flawed in many ways. Two similar directions, two games I am looking forward to.

Really need to get donating on patreon when funds allow. The amount of customisation is incredible. From tender to pilot i spotted at least 9 locations that you can change. Even noticed that the smoke changes direction with the wind which is awesome. Keep up the great work. Cant wait till this releases

Ok so, idk if this question was addressed in like a live stream or not. But in C of S, will there be options to rebuild your engine/locomotive to change the specification of your loco? So for example, if i bought the Class 70 with a step board cow catcher at 5 seconds in this video, But I want to change it now so it has a different color scheme and I want it to have a D.S.P. & P.R.R. cow catcher. By chance will there be such thing? Or will it be the same as R-O where we have to buy a completely new engine to change the customization?

Please tell me that massive plow isn’t just for show… I know the plow clears snow… but I’m hoping the size of that plow suggests large snow banks. Perhaps an obstacle that would require the plow to clear. Maybe even something that less well equipped trains could get stuck in, or derailed by.

That plow is the equivalent of a new lifted shortbed truck. Compensating for anything? I'm loving the detail - including the swaying grass. My computer will cry, but I hope grass gets blown around by the steam from cylinder cocks when they're open. Is it just me, or is the track a little too narrowgauge for the wheels?

Another interesting tidbit to notices it looks like there might be an active weather simulation with changing wind directions? Just from having a very acute case of ADHD and watching the smoke from the stacks through each of the changing variations.

But I happened to notice in this video that I think either some or all of them that the front idler wheel and the drivers seemed to be a bit bigger than the tracks that are supposedly supposed to be Narrow Gauge for both locomotive and track. Just figured I'd let you guys know because I just noticed it

the size and spacing for both the wheels and rail are correct; 30 lb/yd rail is just extremely light and narrow, which can make the wheel profiles look wider than they are.
