Buying extra food every month to store in case the hurricanes leave you stranded and without power? Paying more in home insurance? I’m sure you’re spending just as much if not more than if you were to live literally anywhere else

@TheHomieNess if you read the land and choose the right place to live before you buy a place or build, and maintain your property. If you've learned the skills to fix or build things yourself and you do it right, losing power is really the worst thing. I have backup power for my entire house because I found a broken 15k generator and fixed it myself for very little money. My home has survived several storms with little to no damage. When I built my house, I built it to withstand high winds. I have plenty of food because I like gardening and keeping chickens. I give away more food than I can use myself. My entire life, instead of sitting inside all day and playing video games, I was learning how to do things. Instead of wasting my money on video games, drugs, or alcohol, I bought tools so I could do more things. My point is, I don't need you, the media, or the government telling me what to do in order to survive.
