So it sounds like the author is not totaling saying just keep buying and don’t sell, but advises to reallocate to inflation protected assets like real estate and energy during turbulent times.

Seeing the growth of the last hundred years I am questioning if this is sustainable at all?! The trajectory is as vertical growth line, wich means money wouldn't be worth anything anymore. Am I not seeing it right?

That's exactly my thoughts on seeing that graph...it looks unpredecented and unsustainable, and I'm less convinced in "long term" investments having seen it.

To the *worthwhile person* seeing this, your dream is not dead. Don’t allow the past and current pains and hurts stop and define you. You’re more than a conqueror. Rise up and put yourself together. Keep pushing your future depends on it. I wish you all the best in life ❤️.

Love it! My problem is I buy ETFs when/if I have funds left over, maybe once a year, so its easy to see the dips when you know specifically when stocks were purchased and feel bad. Based on this book, it would be better to spread puchasing over the year, removing the pain of knowing the dips and maybe benefitting when stocks are low, rather than a one in 365 chance of buying at the right time.

If you applied this strategy when the market crashed in the 2000, it only would take you 6 years would be profitable. The future is not predictable. The better hedge funds buy and hold for only 2 days… but ok 👍🏼

This advice is for someone who needs no cash flow for 30 years! Why not just buy Berkshire Hathaway then and just wait for 30 years… you would be much better off with real estate where you could buy an asset, use reasonable leverage with no margin calls, improve it, get tax benefits, get cash flow, refinance and cash out to buy more, have renters pay it down, and over the years beat inflation, add value, and keep doing 1031 exchanges to grow and eventually pass it all on to your loved ones at a step-up on basis tax free!? Why get into a 30 year hold when you can buy real estate which produces better cash flow, better leverage and better outcome through the years when you consider the cash you start with?

I agree. Have done 10 times better with real estate than the stock market. It's way more passive though. It's just so slow. I look at it more as another side hustle than a secret to super wealth.

IMO, the main problem is the lack of discretionary income and the POV that the investment market is just a black hole (or Ponzi scheme) - I mean it's the classic short term Vs long term thinking and when you think about it there's some logic - the risk over the long term changes frequently (up and down) and that could just screw up your whole portfolio gains. Investments in financial assets just might be the least ROI [to your life] on your money, effort and time.

Stocks are going to be a bad investment in real terms for the next few decades. Buying after crashes and bear markets works. But there are plenty of examples where real returns were very bad over 10-20 year periods.
@TheDailyGold

@Admiral Nelson Stocks are at historically high valuations which portends to poor returns. Stocks do best during periods of disinflation, not rising inflation. Stocks were a disaster from 1965 to 1982 and especially bad in real terms.

I agree with you but when it comes to trading, I don't trade myself, I invest with a professional assigned by a cryptocurrency company that trades for people and returns profit on weekly basis for me. This is a stupid video - when you can clearly see a wall and you still wanna crash into it? First you can see the asset bubble (pricing up more than long-term trend), then you see the inflation, and the Fed planning tightening, you know the stock market reaching a wall and good time to sell and stay aside. This buy-blind mentality can throw you back years if not decade. BTW, the productivity myth is that it can turn negative as recent data shows.

Plenty of people who have sat on the sidelines for years waiting for it all to crash down. If you're in all markets somewhere someone will be making money. I wouldn't bed against greed.
