Automotive Service Technician is not one of the 10 prioritized Trade occupations announced by IRCC in 2023. If you study any other Trade, you have to rely on PNP for PR. PNP is different in each province. You will need to look for a province with easier PNP stream for your occupation and study in that province.

Digital marketing is not a prioritized occupation. It requires over 500 CRS score for ITA (inviation to apply). The only hope is PNP. Canadian colleges graduate hundreds of digital marketing students each year.

Choose your study and province carefully. If you study towards a non prioritized occupation and in Ontario, your PR chance is small. In 2023, IRCC announced 82 (35 health, 24 STEM, 10 trade, 10 transport, 3 agriculture/agri-food) prioritized occupations, qualified for category-based Express Entry draws with lower CRS cutoffs.

@@chitrakpun5815 Small restaurants purchase their pastries and baking goods locally. They don't make them themselves. Large hotels have a pastry chef (and maybe one backup). They make pastries in mass production scale (multiple trays). In big events, they tap into city's local union for temporary chefs (from nearby hotels). There are some small pastry/bakery shops that make their own stuff; but many are family run. Study to become a chef rather than arts. They teach you some art in culinary school. When I was a student, I worked in restaurants and a 5 star hotel in Montreal.

@@chitrakpun5815 Chef is not a prioritized occupation. They belong to general Express Entry draws, requiring CRS score of over 500 for ITA(invitation to apply) PR. You need to look for a province with PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) that is easier for chefs. PNP is your only chance for PR if you study to become chef. PNP is different in each province so choose your province carefully. There are two types of PNP. Base PNP follows the province's PNP point system; it is independent from the federal Express Entry. In 2024, total PNP target is 110,000. Enhanced PNP requires you ro sign up with federal Express Entry. Once you receive PNP from province, you will receive 600 CRS base points, making ITA almost a certainty. In 2024, Express Entry target is 110,770.

In 2023, Express Entry target is 88k. ITA (invitation to apply) is 110k. IRCC would over-draw on purpose because many ITAs won't be successful. This ITA figure is very small compared to 900,000 international students presently in Canada. Most students will be returning home after their PGWP expiration.

For PR, you need to thinnk twice before going to Ontario. In the end of 2022, more than 51% of Canada's international students are in Ontario, fighting for jobs, housing, and PNP slots.

There are two concerns: (1) some corporations prefer citizens in the role of cybersecurity; (2) Ontario PNP Human Capital stream, tech draws omit Cybersecurity Specialists routinely. Maybe it is saturated in Ontario. If you are pursuing Master degree, look into Ontario PNP, OINP Masters Graduate Stream. If you graduated with Master degree from an eligible Ontario public university, you can apply without any job offers.
