Согласен. Дело в том что, адаптер рассчитан на данную цепочку светодиодов, когда одна перегорает и мы уменьшаем их число, на остальных получается попадает больше тока чем до этого. Хорошо бы как то уменьшить ток от адаптера с помошью других резисторов, или добавить еще Н-ное количество светодиодов на эту же цепочку.

A idéia de recuperar a lâmpada é muito válida, porém logo em breve ela irá queimar outro led novamente, pois quando "jumpeia" ou "by-passa" o led q está queimado, como eles estão fechados em série consequentemente a corrente elétrica vai aumentar e fazer com q a vida útil dos leds sejam menor do q antes com todos os leds funcionando. O ideal mesmo é substituir o led queimado por outro igual q esteja ascendendo normal, pois assim a intensidade da corrente não ficará elevada. Mas se não for possível fazer a substituição do led queimado, essa é uma boa solução temporária !

I've tried similar solution shown in video by just soldering the place of removed LED. Result usually is that because of higher voltage for other LEDs next LED will burn out within week or two. Also I think there is good amount of planned obsolescence in today's LED bulbs so if one LED goes the others will go pretty soon after. You hardly see any LEDs anymore over 15000h promise while 5 years ago it was common that average bulb life time out there was 25000-30000 working hours. But there are plenty brands out there that produce very unreliable rubbish where bulbs hardly meet 1000h mark and there is no point of repairing rubbish that shouldn't been produced at first place.

You may cry after incandescent bulb but these bulbs were as bad as one bulb can be (1000h working time) and that's not because it's a bad bulb design but because of greediness of corporations (you may call it cowboy capitalism). Investors use their money not because they have some idea of doing world better with some good/useful designs but to double their investments as fast as possible. Same time they use their money for lobbing governments to get laws that helps them to remove healthy competition. I remember once my father found one working Argentinian incandescent bulb from the beach and it worked next 10 years. I saw documentary that described one incandescent bulb factory in East-Germany where they produced bulbs with 25 y life span but after joining free market it bankrupted because people needed new bulb too seldom. And if I'm not wrong then longest lasting bulb (100y) is still working. There has been many governments in US within 100y and I can similarly say republicans didn't do anything to save incandescent bulb.

That's when 3 unscrupulous business men who each produced lightbulbs met in a room and collectively decided on making their lamps work only for a certain amount of hours before they would burn up; so as to ensure that people would always have to buy lamps from them. Otherwise people would only buy the lamps once and they would never need to buy replacements. Now I don't know if this story is actually true but there's still 1 lightbulb in an old fire station that has been on for decades and has never burnt out. I believe that's the only remaining lightbulb that was of the indefinite variety.

Hoje mesmo consertei duas lâmpadas. Esse método é bom, e colocar um pingo de solda também, mas, se você observar, há uma fina linha no metal sob o Led. Basta raspar (eu raspo com a chave de fendas) esse metal até um lado se unir ao outro, então verás que o efeito será o mesmo provocado pelo pedaço de alumínio, e a lâmpada volta a acender. If I bridge one led, then each led takes 10/9 volts, I think about 1.1v. If the led cannot stand the overvoltage we give it then it burns. I had this happened in Christmas lights

Don't mess with foil. Just put a little dab of solder to bridge the pads of the bad LED. But as others have said, this increases the load on the remaining LEDs and they will start to fail in a cascade.

People take calculated risks all the time to learn all sorts of things, it's why we have such rich accumulated knowledge over time. As for home insurance, this also comes with risks to coverage for lots of things we enjoy like cooking, fireplaces and candles; all of which are also potentially life threatening.

I could not open the lamps with such a knife. I had to use brute force. After opening, I understood why. All of them were filled with sealant. This greatly complicates the task. Таким способом ты замыкаешь контакты, чтобы дать напряжение на оставшиеся диоды. Но это напряжение будет уже выше, чем было прежде. Поэтому оставшиеся будут гореть интенсивнее, и быстро перегорит следующий. Правильнее будет, если впаять на место сгоревшего диода резистор, который нужно подобрать, чтобы яркость других диодов была не выше, чем раньше.

@@user-fm6pn6vj5b я с паяльником дружу бро. Соединял не раз, целая коробка этих дохлых лампочек от банального перегрева. Помогает только подбор резистора, светят чуть тусклее и так не греются, от чего не перегорают. А это херня а не совет

Совет дилетанта. Светодиоды и так при производстве ставят в напряженный режим, чтобы было ярче и они быстрее перегорали. Увеличивая напряжение на последовательно включенных светодиодах, вы резко сокращаете срок службы.

This is what we would do when a fuse would burn out in our cars, you'd pop the fuse out wrap in tin foil and put back in. It came in handy if the fuse for your headlights went out and you had to drive home at night.

Посмотрев внимательно, можно увидеть на плохом светодтоде чернуюю точку! Лупа в помощь! И паяльником поелозить по нему, чтобы он отвалился и залить это место припоем! Ещё послужит, но всё равно сгорит другой светодиод, потому что они работают на предельных токах!!

Thank you! And, very interesting. This repair seems to show, then, that the LEDs are connected in a SERIES circuit, which is something I did not know. That seems a poor design on the manufacturer's part, but I suppose it is what allows more LED lamps to be sold: if it were a PARALLEL circuit, instead, only one LED burning out (or, two, or three, etc.) would still allow the others to continue to receive power in the circuit and for the bulb to emit light and remain in use. Those LEDs are amazibgly cheap to buy and replace... If you are going to use that bulb, just replace the burnt out LED and WALA...it works again... That is the safe way!

Very interesting! Now my only problem is getting the plastic globe off, which isn't as easy with the Philips LED lamp I'd like to repair. This one doesn't just pop off when you pry it with a utility knife, it seems to be glued on, but I will persist!

cut round the base of the globe a few times with a craft knife and tap with hammer mine came off.. then glue it back in place

How about a better plan 'B'. Get two burnt out bulbs. Identify the burnt out LED on one and replace it with a good LED from the other LED. This avoids having the remaining LEDs overheat (and then fail) from an overvoltage condition (15% higher voltage by jumpering the bad LED and a resultant early faiiure of the remaining LEDs).

Aside from being a potential arcing hazard ... unless that LED bulb has an active current regulator and not just a passive resistor you've now overdrawn the other LEDs and this will run hotter and fail even quicker. Congrats!
