Watching from India 🇮🇳 I'm obsessed with your videos.. i have a single orchid plant which i bought 3 months ago.. i used rice water and banana peel water as fertilizer once a week.. i have got 3 flower spikes in one plant.. two from the old spike and one fresh spike.. all thanks to your highly informative video.. now that my plant is giving out new flower buds which is the ideal fertilizer that i can use.. please guide me
@Happinessgarden6665 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing the great results from taking care of your orchid! 🌸 Congratulations on having 3 flower spikes, that’s wonderful! As your plant starts to produce new flower buds, you can continue using natural fertilizers like banana peel water and rice water. However, you might also try adding other fertilizers like apple peel water or diluted coffee water. These fertilizers will provide essential nutrients for your orchid to grow strong and bloom continuously. Be sure your plant gets enough water and light to encourage the blooming process!

I love your videos! Thank you so much! Question for you: You show so many great combos of natural ingredients to use on orchids. How do we know when to use which combination. You have videos on rice and water, apples & Lemons, sugar & breadcumbs, egg shells & bananas... just to name a few. Could you break down when to use each combination, please? I have 2 orchids just starting to grow flower spikes. Which combo is best for that? ❤
@Happinessgarden66611 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much for enjoying my videos! Each natural ingredient combination serves a specific purpose depending on the plant's needs: Rice water - A natural fertilizer rich in nutrients, great for plants in active growth stages, helping the plant stay healthy and bloom well. Use when your orchid is spiking or newly rooting. Apples & Lemons - Provides vitamins and minerals, which support strong growth. Use during the plant's active growth or when the plant needs a health boost. Sugar & Breadcrumbs - Gives energy to the plant, stimulating root development and overall growth. Ideal for orchids struggling with root growth or energy deficiency. Eggshells & Bananas - Rich in calcium and potassium, improving root health and helping the plant defend against diseases. Best for orchids that are well-established or need root strengthening. For your orchids with flower spikes, rice water would be the best option to help provide essential nutrients and support blooming. Best of luck with your orchids! 🌸

That's right, caring for orchids can take a lot of effort, just like taking care of roses. However, when you see those beautiful flowers bloom, all that hard work is worth it. If you continue taking great care of your plant, your orchid will bloom and grow strong. Wishing you success with your orchids and roses! 🌸🌹

USA i live by the most beautiful Lake of the Ozarks Look it up. You have taught me so much. We havent been above 30 degrees in weeks With so much heat on i bought a small humidifier just for my plants But my orchid is struggling, Suggestions Please
@Happinessgarden6665 сағат бұрын
Thank you for sharing! To help your orchid in the dry conditions caused by the heater, you can try these tips: Maintain stable humidity: Your humidifier is a good step. Try to maintain a humidity level around 50-70% in the room. You can also place the orchid in a tray of water with pebbles underneath to increase the humidity around the plant. Watering properly: Make sure not to overwater your orchid, as excess water can cause root rot. Water when the potting mix feels dry, and make sure the water drains well. Lighting: Orchids need indirect light, not direct sunlight. Make sure your orchid is receiving enough light but not getting sunburned. Check roots and leaves: Inspect for any signs of disease on the roots and leaves. If needed, repot and trim off any damaged parts. I hope these suggestions help your orchid thrive! 😊

Hello 👋, Deb from Australia, can you keep the left over fertiliser that you don’t use on your orchids, if so do you keep them out of the sunlight or do you just put in a jar & put lid on & put it in the cupboard?????? Thank you in advance, I’ve only got 3 orchids & 2 are doing well but the other one not so good, so I’m going to give this a try so thank you 😊
@Happinessgarden66611 сағат бұрын
Hello Deb! 😊 Thank you for following and for your question. You can definitely keep any leftover fertilizer, as long as you store it properly. To prevent it from spoiling, place it in a sealed jar and store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Keeping it in a cupboard or dark area will help preserve it for longer. I hope this method helps your orchids thrive again! Wishing you success! 🌸

@Happinessgarden6665 сағат бұрын

Toronto. Can I use this solution months after flowering,?
@Happinessgarden66615 сағат бұрын
You can definitely use this solution months after the flowers have bloomed. As long as your orchid is healthy and needs care, you can continue using the solution to provide nutrients, helping the plant recover and prepare for the next blooming cycle. Just make sure not to overuse the solution and always provide enough water for your plant! 🌸

@Happinessgarden66615 сағат бұрын
Thank you for sharing! If your orchid is healthy but not blooming, there could be a few reasons: Lack of temperature variation: As mentioned before, orchids need a temperature difference between day and night to stimulate blooming. If the room temperature is too constant, the plant might not receive the signal to bloom. Insufficient light: Orchids need bright, indirect light. Make sure your plant is near a bright window but not exposed to harsh midday sunlight. No resting period: Orchids need a resting period after each growth cycle to prepare for blooming. Try reducing watering and fertilizing for a short period to encourage this process. Fertilizer issues: Over-fertilizing or using the wrong type of fertilizer can affect the plant’s ability to bloom. You might want to try using a fertilizer with a higher potassium content to encourage blooming. I hope these tips will give you a better chance at seeing flowers on your orchid! 😊*

Do you ever put small gravels in bottom of your pots
@Happinessgarden66615 сағат бұрын
Thank you for sharing your question! I usually don’t use small gravel at the bottom of my orchid pots because orchids need a well-drained and airy system. However, some people may use a layer of gravel or small stones at the bottom of the pot to help with drainage and avoid waterlogging. The key is to ensure the pot has enough drainage holes and that the growing medium has good drainage to prevent root rot. Best of luck caring for your orchid! 🌸

A-ȚI ARATAT O ORHIDEE CARE AVEA MULT MUSCHI BATUCIT !!! IN LOC SA O CURATATI ,SA INDEPARTATI TOATE REZIDURILE ,I-AȚI PUS COJI DE PIN !!!! CUM O ,AERISITI" DV???.!!!! TREBUIA CURATATA DE TOATE ACELE REZIDURI ,SA SCHIMBATI TOTUL ,APOI SA PUNETI COJI DE PIN !!!!😊😊😊
@Happinessgarden66611 сағат бұрын
