The man from Kent was a proper decent bloke who did the job without calling the police or having an attitude, same with the 2nd bloke as well👍. JCB should be proud of their security. One thing I've seen and heard living quite near is they need to drop using employment Agencies as layoffs to agency works can be high. Ps yes they do have a helipad as the helicopter often flies over.👍

Mr Bamford is a great man, he employs people that tend to stay with the firm. The canteen dishes up the same to him as his employees. I have used his products from the largest machines down to a cordless drill. Not only in UK, but in Kenya. Tanzania, Zanzibar, Venezuela, and Abu Dhabi. I am happy that there is a conversion on the 180 section of the iconic machine for the hand controls. The Great Unwashed will not understand the previous sentence. Regards from a retired user. I've also driven many different JCB machines from the early fixed rear booms models to one of the first 3x's off the production line. A few 360's as well and I did like it the controls were all the same. It did take a bit of time to get used to other makes controls as the brain goes onto auto pilot. Harry's Farm did a video on the hydrogen powered machines and interviewed Mr. Bamford. Loved how the security guard hurried the boys on saying he wanted to get back to his sarnie, best hurry up I've heard in a long time.

Regarding the SIRIO antenna, 108-136MHz is actually the air aviation band. So it's either something to do with planes or it's working on another frequency maybe above 136MHz. If you get one of those hand held frequency counters for about a tenner and the aerial is transmitting you will see the frequency flash up on the screen.

I used to live in Tean, a couple of miles down the road, I always wanted to work at jcb being a welder however after being a family business and supplying half of stokes population solid employment they decided to send most of their work over to India which destroyed the people and many people lost their jobs in redundancy and lost their homes and had to move out to find employment, shame they shit on the people that helped them to become who they are now!

Our disabled Angling Club members were invited to fish JCBs on site lakes, a few years ago... They were very accommodating.... When you're invited 😄 Security were as good as gold.... and very helpful.... I don't know if they still allow their waters to be fished....

I worked at JCB if you ask and prearrange they will show you around and they do have open days . If you go to the " compact products " one the factory next-door is also open . I'd say they were better than Rocester the big one .

If a company employs their own staff for security the do not have to have an SIA certified security officer, If a company hires in a security contractor then they have to be SIA certified, however many companies get SIA accreditation as it is best practice
