It needs to be said that governments here and in most western countries have promoted the fiction of the dangers of CO2 causing global warming. Our children have been frightened by alarmism that has no basis in reality and it should come as no surprise that impressionable youngsters take matters into their own hands and do silly things to make their points. Their logic is genius. They do something big to get people's attention, because it makes people pay attention in proportion to how mad it makes those people. Then they tell people to stop being mad (the whole reason anyone has paid them attention) and to focus on whatever they're talking about. What a well thought out plan that truly understands human psychology to save the planet. You know what would also get people's attention, and more importantly the attention of the actual people who have any power to do anything these morons want to happen? Big dumb stunts against oil companies, the rich or the government. But surprise, surprise, they never do that. Because if they did that they would get into actual trouble because none of those people give a damn if you make the lives of regular people miserable or destroy history or cultural artefacts, but you scratch the paint on one of their private jets and you'll face the fullest extent of the law.
