Thanks for the update. GO might be the best game in the world, but family comes first :-) Looking forward to getting you back online, when the time is right. Greetings and Thanks

Hey, viewer from long time ago here! I fell into a sort of trap where I became way too obsessed with the game. Was doing too much memorization, study, playing. Pretty much near nonstop go until I went a bit crazy and burned out. I completely quit the game for well over a year and only very recently returning. I probably regressed from around 10k to 18k lol. Well, at least I've heard that stepping away from the game for a while can be a decent way to improve, especially after hitting a wall. Maybe taking a break will help you break through to dan level after you return. =) Personally, I plan to attempt approaching the game much more casually. Playing only maybe 1 or 2 games per week, watching more than playing, and sticking mostly to just pure basics, with little to no memorization or heavy reading, avoiding complex joseki and fights, etc. I've really been enjoying the basics series by Dwyrin aka Battsgo. I've found it pretty helpful so far and would highly recommend checking it out for players of any level. I also very much look forward to rewatching some of your archived stuff. Even though you aren't around at the moment, I'm glad your old content is available.

Also, I forgot to mention that your vids really helped me out back when I first started playing. Pretty much any time I come across someone who is a complete newb, who may or may not have even heard of go, if they show even the slightest interest I link them to your learn go in 15 mins vid. Really great intro vid!

I think your dilemma is not uncommon. At some point, people become too busy or too overwhelmed with keeping a KZbin channel going. The viewers don't see the time that you spend producing just one video. It's unfortunate for us fans, but at least we have over 100 videos of content. Hopefully you can return someday. Even something like one short video a month would be awesome! Take care!

Hi duddha2, I haven't had too much time on my hands either lately and hope to get more time to play go soon. On a good note though I found a tai chi instructor here in Eugene, OR so if all goes well I should be able to contribute to american bushido. For a good and somewhat humorous youtube martial arts channel, check out Master Wong if you get time. peace -g-

Do you plan to return some day? Or is the channel retired permanently?
@theduddha26 жыл бұрын
I do hope to return some day... But the original purpose of the channel was for me to improve and you guys to learn from me improving... I think I've accomplished that. So it'll be more me touching base or maybe when I come back we'll see how weak I've became... Pretty weak

why so many kids?!?!

these2menrgannadoit I'm just playing the odds. I figured the more kids at half the more likely one of them will take care of me when I'm old...

take care of your parents in front of them, then they will surly take care of you. Kids do what they see. thats the only way to tranfer values, become a role model your self then they will return to you what u gave them :)
