JUST WAITIN' by Luke the Drifter, aka Hank Williams, recorded in 1950. Just brought home a fine collection of country music 78s, untouched since the 1950's. Lots of very cool music here, right out of a collection contemporary with the era of the music. Enjoy!

I have most of the old Hank songs. Even found a couple of Live shows on a 2 cd package and found a Hank song I'd never heard before. I love his live performances and his ability to communicate with the audience. He was a natural born entertainer and I wish I could have seen him perform. There's never been another Hank and never will be I suspect. Despite the disagreements I'll get my opinion is that Hank Jr. just hasn't got what his daddy had by any stretch of the imagination.

Usually that indicates that one person wrote the music and the other the lyrics. Hank Williams likely did the lyrics. Sometimes HW would put his own words to someone else's tune, might be the case here...??

audrey williams mustve been a real heel, she pushed her husband into alcoholism & he died.then she trys to do the same damn thing to her only son.fortunately jr escaped her grasp & made a name for himself dispite his overbearing gold digging mother who had no talent of her own.kind of like a 50's version of yoko ono.
