Yeah, that is a shame. That’s why I just like posts and don’t comment my opinions anymore because I just don’t feel like dealing with the headache of the entire fanbase coming down on me for liking something that the majority didn’t. There’s a difference between outright hating somthing and not finding it enjoyable at all, and knowing it’s not the best but being entertained regardless. On the movies that don’t do well I’ve found I’m clearly the latter. I didn’t have high hopes for the Marvels but I could tell from the trailers that I wouldn’t hate it at the very least. I’m still deciding whether it’s something I want to go to the theater for or just wait for Disney +.

Too many of them have been hating on things because they didn't like what an actor said in their personal life. I've seen people hate on this film b4 they even had a trailer,even put up post after post that has a negative slant on this movie. So no matter what they're going to hate it. And I for one enjoyed myself. Was it the best mcu has done? No. But it wasn't as some people who had a preconceived idea that this would suck is feeling. @@ghostlee6434 reminds me heavily of the discourse around Thor the Dark world. A lot of people hated on that movie before it came out, and when it did preceded to claim it was one of the worst that had ever come out and was quick to go into the whole “ Marvel is Dying!” thing. When in reality, it was an entertaining film even if the story and villain lacked flavor. It was I guess more about Thor and Loki sort of learning to tolerate eachother again. A lot of people said that the chemistry between Chris and Tom is what saved that movie. People are saying the same about the Marvels and the chemistry between all three female leads. Guess I’ll just have to see what lane I fall in once I’ve seen it for myself. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My approach to any of the hero movies - "This is one of the many multiverses, its probably not gonna be what is the canon I know." For me, it works, I don't feel a need to be outraged or disappointed that it isn't exactly like the comics etc, and can enjoy it if its fun, and blow a raspberry if its done badly.

watched the movie yesterday and I actually liked it a lot, i thought it was light, fun, so many action scenes with cool choreos which is appreciated. However, the villain was badly written although Zawe Ashton’s acting was great. I think stakes were big (what’s bigger than that? Lol) and just to be clear this movie is definitely million times better than Captain Marvel, Quantumania, and Thor Clown & Thunder there is no comparison no matter how you look at it. Lastly, the star the shined the brightest is of course non other than Iman Vellani. She was amazing she brought so much to the movie without her the movie would definitely feels weird and disconnected, her acting, her enthusiasm everything is just perfect, and don’t get it twisted the other two were amazing it’s just that Iman stole every scene from the others. Brie portrayed Carol a lot better than what she did in the first movie she was emotionless and soulless but completely the opposite in this one. Overall i give it a solid 8 out of 10

I hate that Disney threw Nia DaCosta under the bus and pretty much insulted her by saying the movie failed due to lack of oversight from executives when we already know they meddled and cut this movie down like crazy. The directing was NOT the problem here. These are some of the best fight scenes in a Marvel project since probably Endgame, in no small part due to the excellent camera work. People really give movies like Civil War a pass for their choppy and sometimes confusing shots and editing just cause it’s carried by great choreography. This movie had both. Had Disney had any confidence in Nia and let the movie be longer, which it needed to be, or if they had released it before the dud that was Secret Invasion and not try to pretend like there was a tie in there, it would have done way better. If any movie deserved to bomb like this it was Quantumania. And it’s frustrating bc I know they will take the wrong lessons from this. Burning bridges with talented directors like Nia is a pretty bad sign of things to come.

The weird singing/dance thing was a major negative for the movie. Khamal was the most positive thing in my opinion. Why could they sometimes use their powers without switching and other times not? Did I miss something? The villain.. well.. typical for the MCU to have a bad villain, but this one was just really bad to me. Sadly the mid credit scene which was sorta spoiled in a promo trailer really, was the absolute best part of the movie. I say sadly only because the movie was pretty bad, but the scene was awesome. I mean, one of my favorite end credit scenes in the MCU only because I've waiting for it for so long. I think it is a fun movie, but no need to see it in the theater if you have Disney+. I'd just wait for it and stream in a 2 months. Think Thor Love & Thunder. Fun, but um... yeah. (and I thoroughly enjoyed Thor)

1. The singing bit is like the Spider-Man 3 dancing. Either you just go with it or you hate it, there’s probably no in-between. 2. Yes you did miss something. They switch on simultaneous use of power. 3. Most of the recent villains have been so much better you forgot how bad the villains used to be. They went simple, and that’s fine. The word is “villain,” not “morally ambiguous oppositional force.” I think TLAT is huge step below this. The one thing I feel no one could deny about this is that it is aggressively not boring.

Movie reviews aren’t about being positive and trying to say every movie is good or worth seeing like you’re a child easily impressed by everything you see. I think this is the first movie ever seen where I'm looking forward to a one hour longer directors cut. The acting is great, Iman Vellani should be in all the movies! The editing on the other hand is clearly done in a board room by a 17 year old intern.

This is odd. I'm not used to seeing you two without headphones on lol. I'm digging Achara's hair style and outfit. Very 70s. As for the movie, hearing all the mixed reactions makes me want to see it even more, so I'll have to judge for myself when I go, but I'm glad you all generally enjoyed it despite whatever flaws it might have.
